I also lived in Morris Cty. My favorite was Westlake in Budd Lake. I also liked The NY tea Garden in Morristown. Henry lamb the owner was a friend of the family.

As we all know, New Jersey is a place with world renown for it's fine cuisine. All restaurants, whether it's pizza or Chinese should be judged by the benchmarks set in New Jersey.

Koyome is ok, at least they use fresh ingredients but their recipes are dumbed down for American tastes. For example, their Kung Pao chicken is bland and pathetic.

RE: PIZZA
Try a little salt on it and for me a bit of Oregano.

RE: CHINESE FOOD
Most of what we expect and get at a Chinese restaurant is American created chinese food Chow mein for example was created in CALIFORNIA. Fortune cookies in Brooklyn-if I recall.
Sue; Great post and absolutely true. Our taste buds fade with age and we need more seasoning to enjoy the food. Wish more restaurants around here got that, or at least provided the condiments at the table.

You can request that they make it extra spicy. In fact, if you order online as I do, there is a section for special requests. I assume that they make it toward the bland side to fit the tastes of most of their customers.

Thanks did not know that will try it next time. The Kung Pao I had there wasn't mild spicy, it was zero spicy which isn't how Kung Pao is supposed to be.
