Just curious. Do the people that object to dogs at outdoor restaurants avoid dining at the homes of friends with dogs?

Allowing dogs or any pets is a good reason NOT to go to Red Sauce anymore!!!!!

"There is a time and place for everything and taking your pet to the store or a restaurant is not appropriate unless of course they are a bona-fide service animal."
...and how are you going to tell if the dog is a "bona-fide service animal? As stated several times on this thread, you can buy the service dog vest and fake credentials off the Internet. Just suck it up. If you see a dog in a restaurant area, exercise your free choice and either stay or leave. No one is forcing you to be where you do not want to be. |

Y'know, when I see an excessive amount of exclamation points I sometimes think the poster could use a little something to take the edge off. How does your shrink feel about this?

As far as "no dog signs", I've seen several "service dogs only" signs. Yes, I read the statement that Cody's was the only establishment that had a permit. Are you sure that information is current and/or correct? I don't know...don't really care. |

This may be why some people are not so thrilled about having dogs licking around on them or sharing their dinner table. [ame=http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=HoGtnzGtB9Y]Why dogs eat poop - YouTube[/ame]

Yes, I've heard of it. And no, not all dogs do it, does "your pitt bull" do it?

![]() I guess we would also like to think the special dogs here don't lick themselves clean too but that is also not true.. ![]() It is a totally natural thing for dogs to do as noted in this link and that is why they do it. Pigs do it naturally and chickens love it, dogs sometimes prefer it to dog food as mentioned too; Coprophagia Why Dogs Eat Poop - The 5 Primary Causes This activity is just a natural thing for dogs but we need to remember this when others are not happy about having other people's dogs in their face and at their tables. I don't take my dog to restaurants or the squares (YET) as he would likely like to have a couple of the smaller dogs for his dinner. ![]()

Oh, you really have a pit bull? That surprises me. I just assumed you were making a joke as I've never heard a responsible bully breed owner make a comment like you did in post #31, even as a joke, considering the problems the breeds are up against. Well, enjoy your pooch and hopefully he'll grow out if his problem. Most pups do.
