Default Most entertaining Dem debate yet

Nothing much no TV last night, after watching the NFL games. How about my Panthers? So, we decided to watch the great Debate. What a joke, especially on poor O'Malley. The poor guy had to beg for 30 seconds because the whole thing was hijacked by Sanders and his constant rant about Wall St and Campaign funding. Every question was answered with the same old rant, never answering the question. Hillary looked like she was really enjoying the show. She had the most horrifying smile frozen on her face, and her head nodded like a bobblehead on a car dashboard. Sanders was so proud of bragging about his being a Socialist when asked.

O'Malley did get one comment in that they all agreed on and were nodding and smiling as he stated with a puffed chest that "he knew of no hunters that required an AR-15 to hunt deer." He said he was totally against military style weapons for hunting. All I can say to that is that he has missed the boat on the 2nd Amendment. There is nothing in the Constitution that mentions hunting, but there IS something in the 2nd Amendment about a Militia.

Hillary had a great answer whether it was or was not on topic, as most of the time the questions went unanswered by the candidates, especially Sanders. Hillary said that ALL police officers should carry an antidote for Heroine and opiate overdose with them at all times so they could immediately administer it on the scene. Now, I don't know about anyone else listening to her last night, but that struck me as the stupidest, uninformed, ignorant statement I have ever heard. I won't go into how stupid that comment was.

Sanders was forced into commenting on health care once, between rants about Wall St and Campaign financing. He said he wanted the go to provide FREE health care for all. When asked if he would have to raise taxes to pay for it, he insisted that it wasn't so, because everyone would be saving five thousand dollars a year, so if they had a bit more taken from their paycheck, it would not be the same as raising taxes. It would not be a tax, just because it was taken from their paycheck, because they would be saving money. He scoffed at the moderators when they suggested that it sounded like a tax. Every time the moderator asked him a question, he would refuse to answer it, saying they should be asking something else and then would go on a rant like a demented old fool. Hillary was laughing her @ss off watching him take the heat off of her.

O'Malley was so pathetic because they did not want to give him a chance at any questions. He actually begged them "can I have 30 seconds too" like a little child not chosen to play ball with the other kids.

Their idea of dealing with terrorism is to negotiate with them and more understanding. Embrace them and welcome them into the community. When asked about Syria, Sanders said Assad had to go. He said that Assad was responsible for killing thousands of his own people with gas. I wish someone would have asked him about the near half a million that Sadaam killed with poison gas and how he was talking about the mistake of taking Sadaam out. And he did say that it was a mistake taking Sadaam out. When asked if he would have boots on the ground, he certainly not. He would negotiate a peaceful way for Assad to retire.

O'Malley jumped in with his statement that it was not Politically Correct to use the term "boots on the ground." He said that some soldiers mother told him that she did not like the use of the term "boots on the ground."

Once again, they argued on who was the most Socialist, who was going to offer the most free stuff, who was going to stick it to big banks, and how they were going to reform campaign contributions. After Hillary stated that she was going to change the way campaign contributions were done, Sanders did jump in and mention that she had received over $500K for speaking engagements from big business. She had no response to that. She did not like being called out on her hypocrisy.

There was a ton of hate for Republicans on last nights debate, with only O'Malley suggesting that they all need to get along and that he was the one to bring it about. That he did NOT consider the Republicans his enemy....even though he was on the band wagon against everything they represent.

After watching the debate, my wife left the room after telling me that she could not understand how anyone could believe that **** or vote for any one of them. She said, they must think the voter is really stupid to believe anything that they say. I responded that most voters were just uninformed. They don't hear most of this stuff on the mainstream media, and most voters do not want to know how the sausage is made.

I have a friend that once told me that he would never eat a hot dog. I asked him for the reason. He told me that his grandfather owned a hot dog factory and after going to work with him once and seeing how the hot dogs were made, he could never eat one again. The voter wants to consume whatever they can get free from the gov, but do not want to know how it is made. If they knew how bad our national debt really was and how bad our economy is teetering on the brink of the precipice, they would panic. We have a lot of people in our country that feel that it is OK to share in the fruits of others efforts. They do not want to know how the sausage is made or what the ingredients are. They just want to consume it. They do not wish to make the sausage, just want the gov to provide it. The rich have a lot of sausage, and the lazy demand it be confiscated and given to them.

Fact: There is not enough money to pay for all the Free stuff that these candidates want to give away, even if they tax the rich 90%. Isn't anyone interested in how they are going to accomplish all their magic without the money to pay for it? Sanders will tax everyone to pay for his socialized health care. The others won't admit how they plan to pay for it. Hillary says Obamacare is the greatest accomplishment in the history of America.

Any other comments on last night's Democrat debate?

Well, my comment would be that you and your wife are the ones who missed the boat.

If anyone wants to join a militia, just look at the nutcases out in Idaho and Oregon who have taken up arms against the US Federal government. Is that what you want? That is a Federal crime!

Confiscate billionaire's money and give it to the poor? What planet did you and your wife hear that on? Make them pay their fair proportion of taxes is a very good idea, though.

Socialists? How about social programs like food stamps for the needy, welfare for the needy, Social Security for the needy? You know, helping the hungry and poor - kind of what Jesus preached about?

Looking forward to your recap of the next Rrpublican debate in Iowa on the 28th. That should be great entertainment.

Thank you, Chi. Guess you didn't watch it last night. I don't blame you. Nothing new. Lots of spending like a drunken sailor, but no new ideas about boosting the economy so they can pay for it.

Second recession is on it's way.

A militia is NOT a federal crime, so why do you make up lies? A few nut cases does not make up a country. Do you see anything about hunting in the Constitution? I do see something about a militia though. Did you miss that part in your great education?

If you watched the debate, you too would have heard how they want to take money from the wealthy. When you say make them pay their fair share, what is that exactly? Does anyone else pay their own fair share, or just those that you deem to be better off than yourself? Fair share always means something different with liberals and socialists than that of the definition in the Dictionary. You all make up your own meaning, right?

I've not read the same Bible you read. Jesus never preached socialism, although he did preach charity. Feel free to feed the hungry poor. But, do it with your own money, not by forcing others to pay because you deem it the right thing. I find it kind of disingenuous that liberals try to use the Bible that they consider to be fiction. Most of the liberals I have spoken to in the past believe the Bible to be fiction and God to be a myth. Am I speaking to one that has seen the light?

Rationalizing by a liberal is merely justifying their lack of ethics and morality. In my America, people are treated with equal rights. Equal also means equally taxed at the same rate no matter what income. But, that does not correspond with your definition of "fair." Fair to you might be different than what is considered fair to another. But equal does not change. Half a glass of milk is half a glass no matter the size of the glass.

The Dems in the debate last night want to repeat the actions that brought down our economy the last time. They admit it too.

The primary contests for both parties are a sad reflection of what America has become. I watched only :15 of the debate last night and amazed that most American voters do indeed believe in something for nothing, it is driving both parties. I'm a life long Republican and embarrassed to admit it. Increasing military spending along with a big tax cut, most Republicans cheer that on but it does not add up. Socialist or not I cannot help but admire Bernie's honesty about raising taxes to help pay for single payer. Unfortunately for him it will kill his campaign. It is going to be more unfunded spending or unfunded tax cuts that will win the day. Santa likes us so called conservatives too.

They have a memory loss treatment center here in the Villages, in case you forgot that there was much discussion on here regarding the last GOP debate. You might want to check it out, because I know you are on here all the time so you could not have missed the other discussions. After all, you have contributed several one liner, snide remarks in those discussions.

You're right, I missed it. DVR'd Downton and watched episodes of Caribbean Life on HGTV.

I thought it was right on target. The democrats are for the average person, not you high rollers. Get used to it, the dem's will win in a landslide.

Never watched Downton, but my wife is trying to catch up on it to watch the last season. I watched a bit of the beachfront properties, I believe were on HGTV yesterday. Amazing how much a property can cost according to the location. A home here might cost two hundred grand and cost half a million somewhere else, with the same square footage but less features. Since living in Panama a while back, I still get real estate advertisements featuring properties for sale down there.

Jesus was a liberal, or don't you read his teachings?

No militia is not a federal crime, only when they break the law, or are you for that?

The democrats are for themselves, and the rich. They just make believe for guppies like you, that they are for the little guy. If they destroy America, then they become the elite class of their socialist Utopia.

I bet you are going to be devastated when your liberal royalty gets defeated in November. The Dem's do not have a viable candidate to represent them. Their ONLY chance is to force Biden to jump in at the last moment. Even then, it doesn't take a crystal ball to see the results of the next election.

I guess you are against guns because they break the law, also. Your comment is ludicrous, to put it kindly.
