SSI is paid for by the general funds, not Social Security. Congress just stole a big chunk from the social security fund to pay for the big increase in SSI. The largest increase in history, a giant increase since Obama became administrator.

We are over 18 trillion dollars in debt, maybe Jesus would have also preached fiscal responsibility along with personal responsibility for one self and their family. Safety nets are a good thing to help people climb out of a bad situation and not to use it as a way of life.
