Republicans have for eight years stated they had a replacement for Obamacare. Of course this was a lie and now they took a couple of week to hammer out a Trumpcare plan. Most Democrats and a lot lot of Republicans say the replacement plan is a nightmare and should not be voted on. For those 23 million on Obamacare, they are going to have a tough time having future health care. Is trump the only mentally deficient person we ever elected to be President ???

Why are people complaining that he is trying to keep his promises? That is a first for any President. These are the same people who would complain if he wasn't. Keep in mind, to date no one, no one, has lost their Obamacare. They won't until it is replaced. This is a process! Processes take time. That's why it is called a process. They will work on it until they do get it right. People complain that this is no different than Obamacare, just tweaked. He promised that he would see to it that those with pre-existing conditions would be able to be insured. He promised to write in the good things about the Obamacare plan and discard the bad ones. People are being apprised along the way of what it is to be, much unlike "pass it to see what's in it". This is not going to be the "Wham bam, thank you mam", that Obamacare was when passed. He gets slammed for his remarks about the press being biased. Today was just an example. One person who is working on the new plan was being interviewed and was explaining what they are working on. The media guy (Fox, by the way) said something about the work continuing behind closed doors. He was immediately corrected to "open doors" by the guy. As for those who say it was going to be replaced from Day One; Day One was the first step, not the final plan. One of the best things, thus far, is not penalizing employers for not carrying insurance or individuals who do not take insurance they cannot afford. |

Obamacare is failing and would eventually mean that a whole lot more people would lose their health insurance than there was that did not have it before ObamaCare. So, why anyone would be upset over the transition to a more solid program, is kind of crazy. Why in the world would you insist on trying to save face regarding Obama's only legacy at the expense of those that were forced to obtain insurance that will then lose that insurance anyway? Why not be mature and adult about it and just admit that Obamacare was designed to fail so that the Democrat run government would be able to form a single payer, socialist health care system? It never occurred to them that they would be totally annihilated in this past election and that the Democrat party committed political suicide with the formation of Obamacare. But, you leftards just keep on crying about the injustice of the right wings move to repeal a failing and costly program. I would be sympathetic if I didn't think you all were sooo stupid.

Obamacare is now an entitlement and will be with us forever, maybe with a different name. It was passed by a majority however slight, with all the benefits up front and all the pain from paying for it kicked down the road. The pain parts are starting to come due and our republican house is now trying to do something after passing every spending bill Obama put in front of them because they lacked political courage. If it is repealed without replacement we will have a democratic house and senate in two years, just do the numbers. Now how do we seriously fix this problem? Obama was a much better poker player than Mitch and Paul.

As for your last statement, be thankful that you have that million dollars to pay for your own operations, should there come a time you need one. Just because people require an operation to live, does not mean they become totally useless as you infer. Yes, even older people like us. |
