Bachmann is using tactics from the FREAKING MIDDLE AGES (and before). Use "God" to support your platform no matter WHAT happens.. Heck, maybe JUPITER and POSEIDON are mad that we've turned away from 'The Old Ways'! It's just as provable as Bachmann's claim.

Don't worry about voting for Bachmann or Perry. The mainstream Republicans are not dumb enough to put up reactionaries like either of them for President or VP. They learned their lesson with Palin in 2008. A couple of sensible candidates will probably emerge - and if not - the country will elect President Obama again.

One of the wonderful things about living in this country is the fact that you don't have to believe as everyone else believes. Even in matters of faith. You can resort to childish name calling when our politicians give our Creator praise or acknowledge His hand in the guidance of our country.

Big difference between those statements and backman stating that GOD has now given two warning to Washington, the earthquake and the hurricane. That just show me what a lunatic she is.

GOD is a good thing, but if you hear it speak and give you guidance, then you are a lunitic.

People have been trying to decipher God's meaning and purpose since the beginning of recorded history. I grew up devout Roman Catholic and my priests and teachers have always speculated on God's role in our world. I was told my whole youth that the U.S. was destined to win the two world wars because "ours was a righteous cause" and "God was on our side". Should I now consider all those religious men "lunatics", as you say?

You absolutely should. I cant say here how I feel about Catholic priests. They knew they were just putting lies in the simple minds of the common man. They knew that we won because we had superior weapons and manpower. Please tell me you don't believe GOD moves solders around the battlefield like a chess game. That mentality was good for the old testament, but has been changed by the NEW one. The New Testament teaches love and kindness, but so many interpret it in ways that approves hate and condemnation. Oh well, what are ya gunna do?

They called Reagan all kinds of hateful things that you left-wing liberals are now spewing today. What's the matter, you guys frightened again because B Hussein Obama is the weakest President in history?

Bachmann's handlers are now saying her references about warnings from God were a joke. To me, that is even worse than if she had actually meant it .. you just don't joke about natural disasters that are causing injury and severe hardships to a large number of people.

People died from Irene. My God does not kill people to get the attention of politicians in Washington D.C.

As I am not a particularly religious person, it still makes me wince when I see people putting down other people's faith. Seems that there is a war on Christianity where some faiths gets a free ride. I want to make it clear that I do not in any way condone the harsh things said about any religion.
There is tons of literature to back my belief that there is a war on Christianity.(Banning the display of ten commandments, crosses, prayer in school,even Christmas, to name a few)
