Unhappy Done with Havana

Have tried Havana Country Club for breakfast and dinners on a few occasions. Always have had very slow service. The last time we waited for 45 minutes for breakfast to be served once our order was placed.
The food is always of poor quality and is usually served cold.
They have a bad reputation throughout The Villages. What doe's it take for the management there to wake up and get things right?

Gee this is the second club that has been flagged for bad food in the past two days. Maybe I should ask, "Where are the clubs with the good food?"

Glenview has the best view and the food and service are good.

And as far as Havana, I have been there for early dinner about three times in the past few months with our card group of 10 or so and nobody has had any issues.

Why are some of the restaurants fabulous and some marginal? Are they not all administered by TV? We were really excited about living very close to Bonifay but with the consistently poor food comments coming out of there, we won't be taking advantage of it as we thought.

Most are not administered by TV. None are fabulous. Some are just less marginal than the others. Cane, Glenview and Mallory treat golfers terribly by refusing to seat them until all players are in the waiting area. That's not how golf club restaurants should work.

So they are privately bid on and whoever gets it runs it the way they want? I have to think then if people stop going, they will get the message and fix it so it is well run? This is the first thing I have heard on this site that TV doesn't have covered. So if the club house restaurants aren't good, where are the best restaurants in TV? I don't discriminate on type of food ...just good food.

Says who - you - If I am waiting for a table I do not want to see chairs with nobody in them, while I wait. IMO I think it is the greatest rule - go to McDonalds, if you want to save seats - remember if you dont like the rules you dont have to play - BTW the Westchester Country Club does not allow seating of golfers unless everyone is present --- You can wait at the bar -- if you do not like it, you can always withdraw you membership -- Thank You

Yes I can understand how the golfers feel about waiting. On the other hand when it comes to running a restaurant things flow better when the entire group whatever group, comes in at the same time.
