Here is a novel thought...why not see the movie so that you can form your OWN opinion of it instead of accepting and internalizing the opinions of others?

I have to ask myself. Why was the movie even made?

I saw it and it was awesome. One of the best remakes I have ever seen. I didn’t realize I was supposed to research all the hate that might somehow be associated with it and then spew vitriol. I just did what I did as a kid and thought a movie would be nice to see today and I am glad I saw a good one.

Nice to see some wisdom on here. Ignore the voices who sow discord for their own profit, ego, or amusement. And go see a movie, TV show, book, sporting event, etc.

I took my 4 year old grandson on opening day. I loved the original also, but haven't seen it in years. We BOTH loved the remake of the movie. As I watch old movies, my current thoughts and feelings question the movie. Even though I loved the original, I want remakes to put more modern attitudes in place. Disney did a great job with this. For instance, in the remake, Snow White was a strong leader and thinker. She worked with others to resolve her conflict with the evil queen. I am anxious to rewatch the original and plan to with my grandson soon,

Of course I will watch it, but when it streams on the Disney channel. I don't go to movie theaters.

Yes I plan to see it. Amazing how they can mix animation with real life performers.

Not for me, but three of our friend kids all went and loved it.
I never watch remakes, prefer to remember movies as I saw them.
In fact not a fan of modern movies at all.

If I recall correctly, this was first done in 1965 with the movie "Mary Poppins."

So it's not about learning. It's also not about money since they would make more money by producing "tradional" movies.

The reason Disney and the others do this is ideology. They hate you.
But I really like Mickey

Appears to be a big money loser for Disney. When will they learn?

The first version of Mickey is public domain. Eventually you won't need Disney.

Not planning on seeing it. Live-action remakes are generally not that good.
