Probably much higher in the dog poop department. But this is about bad neighbors turning on their sprinkling system when a woman with dementia is walking her dog and she gets too close to their property. So, they try to drench her. Has nothing to do with poop or pee.

Show me on the doll where the mean man hurt you.

Default Wow what rude people! Glad I live wer I do. Maybe a fall from the wet , and a lawsuit

Maybe a lawsuit is in order. A fall would be a disaster. If you show intent to either the dog or the person.

A dog has to go immediately. Not hold to a dog park. If this is what I am to expect coming to villages I’m already sorry to be going there. Dogs go outside. They like to be walked. They don’t do whatever on demand. What exactly do you want. Dogs and owners to walk in the middle of the road.

I was thinking more along a squirt gun and not what is used to hose down protestors in Rome.

Getting sprayed by one of these Villages' area irrigation systems can get you very wet very quickly.

Only if you continue to stand there. Most folks would move quickly out of the zone.

Let's put this to a rest.
If the sprinkler comes on and soaks that lady IN-IN-IN the street, that's just wrong.
If the sprinkler comes on and soaks someone that is in the guy's yard, then no fault-no foul.
Come on folks. Someone in the neighborhood should accompany the lady when she is walking her dog so that she doesn't harm herself. I know that most neighborhoods in the Villages have residents that take care of each other.

. Again the easement is for the town and the utility companies. Not for public access. Know what your posting. Before you know it people will be parking their cars on your lawn thinking they have a right.

You spend a lot of money for a home and have to be miserable. For man whom live near a waterfall will be destined to drown in a glass of water.

I think we can combine the "Is the Villages too big" and this one and make it required reading before anyone is allowed to move into the Villages. It might help change some minds about the move!

If anyone knows what street the OP lives on, please perform a public service and post it so the public knows where to never move to. Sounds like a bunch of gossipy old ladies with nothing better to do than create drama......

If it isn't every time then you have a$$h&&&s which gets handled differently - typically confrontation.

In order to prove this you'll need videos with time and date stamps over several days. Yes it's a lot of work, and people like this count on the fact that no one (especially here) will bother - however Ring has made this so very easy. You just need a Ring cam (any wifi motion activated cam will do) and it needs to be set up to trigger on that property and it's movement. one key factor to note is Ring is highly admissible where some cheap off brand may not be. Call it name notoriety

All this about where are the sprinklers pointing is BS nitpick junk, water in the road etc has ZERO bearing on this. You need to establish if this is purposeful.

I much prefer confrontation first, it might settle the reasoning portion. Also you know what you are dealing with and then it's easier to deal with.
Agree with these measures! Not to mention, no one OWNS the first 3' of their property. It is easement and belongs to the county. People do NOT have the right to keep you or your pet off of the 3' easement. Respectfully pick up you pet's s%^t of course. There are also watering hours here in TV. During the day, after 7:00 AM you are not supposed to water so there is that avenue for complaint as well.

Sorry, but you are dead wrong.

What is an Easement? Everything You Need to Know | Quicken Loans

"A property easement is a legal situation in which the title to a specific piece land remains with the landowner, but another person or organization is given the right to use that land for a distinct purpose. For example, a utility company may have an easement that allows them access to an electrical pole on your property."

If neighbors just kept their pets off of other people's property, there wouldn't be an issue. As mentioned previously, someone should obviously reach out and try to help this lady - if she's suffering from dementia.

Not to get into an argument but if you look at your copy of the property plat, you will see that your actual property ends way short of the road. If you see a marker nail/peg in your drive (villa owners) that is where your property ends. On the other hand, you are responsible for maintaining the property all the way to the road.

In response to the poster that stated that you are not supposed to water your lawn after 7am, I believe that is just a suggestion, NOT a rule. Not sure, so I may be corrected. They also suggest watering days of the week, but no one adheres to it. I am not sure that any of that can be enforced, but again I may be corrected.

Easements for utilities is another issue. You can have an easement ON your property or through your property. The issue in this case is whether or not you have any authority to or requirement for maintenance on your front area near the road. I don't know about your neighborhood, but in mine we have sprinkler heads right at the edge of the street.
