As a high school teacher, I coached cross country teams for many years. This was in Illinois. We sometimes ran on our local golf course. I figured the same thing was allowed here in The Villages -- but no, the first time I tried to jog on the golf course across the street from my home here, I got run off pronto by a player. It was almost dark, he was the last player of the day, and I was in no way interfering with his game. I guess that's just the way geezers get sometimes. But, you know, if that's the way it is done here, then I figure I need to follow the same rules. I do hate jogging on the streets though. LOL I have no advice on dogs, other than the owner should have their pet under control at all times. If dog walkers are not allowed on the golf courses, than dogs should not be there either.

Don't know of a Villages Community "Security." There is a Community Watch though and that is what they do: watch and report. They have no enforcement authority simply report. If it's something serious, I believe someone calls local law enforcement.

The golfers choose to get up early, drag their clubs,wear their cleats and parade all over the course...daily. why are people so upset if a person walks a paved path 12 hrs later???? Because those of us who live on the golf course don't want people trespassing behind our homes. We don't know who you are and for all we know you could be there other reasons. Stay Off the golf course unless you are playing. There are enough places to walk without trespassing.

Did you also teach your students to trespassing on private property? Great Role Model.

You are concerned with someone's identification and purpose when they walk on a concrete path behind your home but you don't have the same questions when they walk on a concrete or asphalt path in front of your home?

The concrete and asphalt in "front" of one's home is usually "public" property. Those "concrete paths" behind ones home on the golf course are "private property". Pretty simple really. What's so hard to understand?

Yes, I understand that it is possible to "trespass" on public land. Yes, I understand that there are rules though I can't seem to find the rules regarding the golf cart paths. But I also understand how easy it is to use a phrase such as, "trespassing on private property," without actually knowing if it is private property or trespassing.
