I use claritan or the drug store version which is much cheaper w same active ingredient. Works great.
If I also have congestion I use claritan D which requires showing a license or other proof of identity.
If your eyes are bothering you you can use eye drops for allergies which work pretty well.

We have found using local honey to help with allergies. The pollen used by the bees help create and build a natural anti-histamine reaction by the body. This lessens the allergic reaction to pollen.

I've had red, scratchy eyes and a runny nose ever since we moved to FL 5 years ago. Every time we go on vacation, it all clears up but then returns as soon as we come home. I don't like taking allergy meds so I just try not to let it bother me. Small price for getting to live in such a beautiful place.

Buy a HEPA rated air filter and put it in your bedroom. Airduct heared/cooled houses are not good for allergies.

Be careful with the "D" medicine. My blood pressure went up mysteriously last March. My doctor discovered it was the allergy medicine. She said to avoid anything with a "D" attached to the name.

I guess an occasional use wouldn't hurt, but I was taking it every day.

I’ve found it to be very much worse this year.

Shower before bed to wash all the pollen out of your hair and off body. Use Neti pot before bed (works amazingly well) so the pollen is out of your system when you sleep. You can also use neti pot throughout the day if needed. It feels really good to get all that congestion washed out of the sinuses. Pets (if you have one) will carry lots of pollen into the house so don’t let them sleep with you.

Everyone is affected. Being inside for over a year then going outside after Covid didn’t help. Plus we’ve had no rain to wash down the pollen which made things stuffy.

Honey does work. To be most effective you need to have some pretty often perhaps in a daily cup of tea. Try to use honey with the wax still in it if you can.

add this family to the list of those affected-it's not just you. i get the itchy scratchy throat with cough, itchy eyes, etc. we tend to get SOME relief with Nasacort, but don't use every day.

I changed the filter on the Furnace to a pleated one from Home Depot. (I read the various pollen ratings. )The next morning I woke up with almost zero symptoms. Though not usually allergic, I felt it this year.

Not in my case. Since I was a teenager, I would often experience constant drainage and swallowing even when I didn't have sneezing spells. Would sometimes wake up with kleenex tissue all around me. Always had actifed or sudafed around.

Now I am effectively cured. I don't have a clue when allergy season is upon us and never purchase facial tissues anymore. In the last four years I have taken an antihistamine once. Either it was a benefit of aging or the changes I made for a healthier lifestyle.

I'm from Louisville KY which is one of the worse places in the country for allergies. In addition to sneezing, I get sinus headaches and dizziness. I look at the Weather.com pollen app to get a pretty good idea of what bothers me. I take Claritin daily and a nasal spray when it is bad. If I treat consistently I no longer get semi annual sinus infections. All that being said, yes it has been bad lately.
