Hi Vetter,

If you have a "newer" military ID (called a CAC card), it is indeed qualified.

Most forms of IDs need to be realID compliant (New Defense Department ID Cards Are Finally Compatible With TSA Security | Military.com).

So, don't be insulted if your form of ID was rejected, but we all should get every form of photo ID upgraded...then both your driver's license and military ID will be (or should be) well-accepted

Sometimes I think people want to use their military ID to stroke their ego and impress others.

Some seem to take their military service on as an identity.

So yeah your ego is too sensitive and a lot of TV retired military come across as very entitled.

But yeah go to Chase where they will take your Military ID and then research what charities they donate to and you will be running back to Citizen.

REAL ID compliant credentials
Florida began issuing REAL ID compliant credentials after January 1, 2010. The new credentials have a star in the upper right corner of the card, as shown in the sample license example on the right. Florida is a REAL ID compliant state and all Florida licenses should be accepted nationwide.

I have made deposits and withdrawals without showing any ID. As account holders our pictures are on file so when the clerk brings up my account on the computer my mug shot is there for verification. Thus no need to show ID card. Could this be a fake news story?

Default Am I being too sensitive?

Weird- they have a special account just for vets ("Heroes" account or something like that) and you get discounts and special loan pricing. Disconnect here. Perhaps the teller was unaware???

It was refused.

I was told they no longer take a military ID card as a valid Government issued ID card. A State of Florida driver's license, which I have been getting by mail for decades, was OK, but not a retired military ID card or any other military ID.

I was insulted. I have thought about it for a few days and I am still insulted by their policy. Am I being too sensitive? Or possibly was their answer of it being company policy wrong and there is some security issue behind it all that I have not heard about?
