The site which must not be named has a picture of the accident with the identities of the 77, 78, and 79 year olds in this misfortune.

My hat and other stuff have been blowing off while in the golf cart. Fortunately most of the time they have fallen into the back of the cart. I did have to do a quick right and the another right yesterday near Pimlico on Belvedere to get my empty Publix grocery bag which had decided to take a journey onto the golf course.

All this while some sight seeing couple in a golf cart kept on stopping on the cart lane while ahead of me.

Looking at the picture of the wreck makes me want seat belts. I have a feeling that those belts probably saved a life.

Who amongst us has not had a moment of laps of judgement? Some of these comments are uncaring.
The driver of the cart died and his wife is in the hospital. The driver of the van has to live with that sight for the rest of his life.
Please let their loss be a lesson to us all…we live in a place with older folks acting as if they are on vacation….and they are. I tell all of my guests, drive defensible, as if everyone else on the road is 16 and they are driving alone for the very first time…
Praying for all involved for comfort from God, neighbors, family and The Villages population. May we all be there for each other.

For the most part, people on TOTV do let grammar slide. However, on this I agree with Fred, if you live in TV you should at least know how to spell the developer's name.

I am so sorry to hear of his death and thought perhaps it was very serious.

Please all of you. Drive very defensively. We are getting crowded and more accidents happen when we are crowded. I want every single one of you to be here at the end of March.

I will pray for the folks involved. There are a lot of broken hearts tonight.

Thats the second death this year because of a left turn in front of a car. Personally I think cars and carts cross paths to much. People assume cars are going to stop for carts. It just doesnt work that way. I dont trust cars giving me the right of way when I dont have it. Any ideas how this can be corrected.

I don't know it can be corrected as long as some automobile drivers think they are being so kind and friendly by waving carts across the street at gates or other intersections. Some cart drivers start thinking this is the rule or, at least, encouraged and expect other cars to do the same.

Nor have I read that this driver died. The not to be named on-line news did report on a 90 yr old Villager who was killed Tuesday afternoon [on County Rd 25] and his 54 yr old passenger seriously injured in a collision between his 2015 Honda Accord and a Mack truck.
