Ticket or no ticket, it's up to the individual officer. It's called "Officers discretion". And believe me, attitude has a LOT to do with it. Whether you agree with that, or not, makes no difference to me, that's just the way it is.

Why don't you just buy a bike or walk, much better for exercise and the environment.

This topic thread is about the sudden attempt by Progress Energy to block golf cart access to Wal-Mart. If you are bored by this and want to talk about other issues, start your own topic thread, but don’t hijack mine.

TIA

Sometimes the enjoyment is not in the destination but the journey.

Your statement may be generally accurate, but it's not for those of us who cannot ride a bike or do that much walking!

Yes indeed they removed part of the fence that they had installed yesterday. Not sure why the sudden change. I do know I made phone calls yesterday alerting various entities and even spoke with the assistant manager of Wal-Mart about it around noon time yesterday.

So unless there’s a change in status, we can move on to other discussions and leave this be.

Affect is correct. But, if I tell you this, what effect will it have?

It was a joke son. Or to be precise, me playing with words.

I knew the meaning Mrs. Belcher. I was paying attention in your class.

Well you are in the minority. Acording to a CBS report back in May of 2011 there were over 50,000 golf carts in the Villages and only 16,000 regular golfers. I'm sure that the number is much more than that now.

For the life of me, I cannot understand why someone would buy a retirement home in a community that is advertised as a "golf cart community", has over 90 miles of cart paths and think that it is strange that so many people prefer golf carts.

The golf cart accessibility is one of the main reasons that I live here. I really try to avoid taking my car unless absolutely necessary. I much prefer the open air and the fun of riding in my cart.Sometimes I just take the cart for a ride because I enjoy it.
