And, if I get down to Ezell and I'm at 70+%, I probably wouldn't even bother plugging in.
I though it would be a fun day to road trip the wife down there, walk one of the pitch&putt courses while the cart's plugged in.
Best I can tell, my cart goes + or - 7miles with a one hour charge.

I doubt that anyone is getting 250 miles to the gallon in a golf cart, or anything else for that matter.
Perhaps they thought with all these great strides in battery technology they would not be needed.

Use google maps, ask for directions, and select bicycle mode. This won't be exact but it will be close.
EDIT: It looks like 12 miles if you take Buena Vista

I believe the Villages free app also provides distance but it will only use your present location as a starting point.

I haven't heard of a requirement by The Villages for residents to purchase electric golf carts.
If they did, I would guess there would be charging stations at various locations. If you purchase an electric cart you need to take into consideration how you will get it charged when needed.

At Home 99% of it's life (which means the rest of our lives with regards to lithium)
and when you're packing 150+ Amp hour, It's 100%

I don't expect to see any charging stations south of 44 unless a Wawa decides to come into the area.

A few neighbors have electric golf carts as well as EV autos. I've discussed their experience with a few of them here in Marsh Bend near Edna's, the Marsh View Pitch & Putt, and the Lowlands Executive Golf course.

There is no easy answer for the curious. There are no charging stations available within The Villages. There are a few outside The Villages. Of those, even, there are very few.

If they were to be provided within, near the squares or sports/activity/rec facilities, I'm sure there'd be problems, as there would never be enough of them, and people would overstay their parking at the charging station, unless there were penalties for staying too long.

We are talking about a 110 outlet you would plug a toothbrush into.
Not the 400/800volts you would see for cars.

Fully understand, but you missed my comment about overstaying in the charging spot.

And then there's the maintenance if those outlets.

And finally, there will be a need to charge a $$ amount for that service.

I come from the west coast and saw first hand the controls that had to be placed on the convenient charging capability on city streets, stores, and parking lots. The biggest problems were vandalism, charging stations not working, and those who parked their EV car too long at the charging spot.

The Villages also did NOT put in any gas stations.

What happened, was an entrepreneur saw an opportunity, leased real estate from The Villages and built a gas station, to make a profit.

If an entrepreneur sees a market, to make money, in on demand charging stations, someone will lease space from a landlord, and build out an on demand charging stations.
My thought, for it to be profitable, it would be too expensive, and no one would use the service.

Every house in TV has an external high-amp plug mounted near the AC unit and within 50 feet of the road...Just pick anyone Sorry, Tyrone Shoelaces...You are going to have to trade your cart in on a new Star Sirius

I doubt the charger draws more than 10 Amps(?)...50 foot extension cord will be OK.
