Same as saying left handed people have a higher IQ than right handed people. On to the subject posted by the OP. (1) You can make friends by joining the “ridge runners and stump jumpers”. (2). Have a conversation with the new neighbors (Less than 50% chance that will work but at least you made a try). Or finally (3) call an Agent and put your place on the market. We actually sold our home here in The Villages to a couple who decided on number 3. They are still very happy as far as I know.

I was sitting outside in my courtyard villa under an umbrella with friends and family and realized we were getting a little loud (one wears a hearing aid) and motioned for all to bring down the volume. Most of us live quite close to our neighbors. However, it won't be long before June, July and August heat will put a stop to most of us being outside in the late afternoon!!

I would go over and have a conversation with the noisy bunch. Tell them that they it would be nice if they could back off the loud foul language. If that doesn't work then get a lawyer and make their life miserable.

First, stop with the “northern “ bashing! I’m from the north by birth, a southerner now, by choice.
2ndly, voices carry. Even over acreage and water. What not just turn on some gentle music for yourself to enjoy and maybe you’ll hear less of the conversations of your neighbors.
And C, With few exceptions, everyone I know, and have met since moving here, cuss like sailors. Spicy language. I love it!
