Since T-Mobile's merger with Sprint and acquiring low band 600 mhz which is excellent for in building reception they have really become much better.

I would only imagine the other cell carriers will offer similar home internet and competition is good for the consumer and may once and for all humble Comcast and other providers.
I got my TMobile home internet a week ago.

So far, excellent. And - I can take it with me if needed. Like a super-powered hotspot.

I can't tell the difference between the TMobile home and Comcrap

One good reason why they claim they have excellent customer service.

Few weeks ago they are offering free weekend of Starz.

Figure why not and press what I thought was button giving it to me, Instead sign me up for pay service.

Try to cancel and next thing I know paying for it 4x over.

OK go to their website and try to contact them either by customer service immediately or by email. Cannot do this either way.

Look thru website and no phone number to call.

Finally go down to their store and cancel Starz.

Next day get email asking me to rate their website. Give them lowest possible grade and next thing I know they cancel my survey.

When you do not let customers give you poor rating you can claim whatever you want!

Depends on where you live in TV. I'm on the north side of the O'Dell hill in Amelia. Great for rain runoff but lousy for Cellular. I barely get 1 bar on T-Mo (2 brand new iPhone 12 Pro's) and get no 5G. On AT&T I can't even make a call from my house or within a few hundred yards of it. The only service that works solid for me are Verizon and their many MVNO's, I do get some 5G on those services depending on where I am standing at the time but normal LTE service is perfect.

Default Xfinity Mobile

We’ve had Comcast and Xfinity for several years now. We’ve been very satisfied with both.

I’m even considering Xfinity wireless to see what sort of bundle deal might be possible. Anybody out there using Xfinity wireless?

We have had Xfinity Mobile for 6 months now. They use Verizon towers so we get the same reception we have always had. Since we don't use much data, my wife and I share 3 gigs. Total bill for both of us is $33.00 including tax.

I just looked into CenturyLink. In my area I can get 3mbps (yes, you read that right, 3. As in, three.) for $50/month.

I'm thinking I'll stick with my 100mbps Xfinity wifi for $50/month. And when the year is up and they tell me my rates are going up because the promotional period is over, I'll give them a call and have another conversation with them.

Conversation is:

So, you're going to raise my rates because the promotion is over. However, I see there's a promotion for new subscribers, for the same rate I'm paying now. So here's what we're going to do:

I'll cancel my service. And then, I'll sign up as a new customer on the promotional rate.

OR

You can just adjust my plan to extend the promotion another year, and save us all a lot of inconvenience.

They adjust my plan, like they did last year, and one extra hour's work per year results in no rate increase.

When I went there to remove something we didnt want from our service, asked them what happens next Feb when our two years are up and they said expect a sizable increase.

Told the lady ok expect to lose a customer. Her next comment was come in during the month of January and we can work something out.

How would someone have loyalty to a business that operates like this.

So interesting that the best prices is for new customers. You would think they would like to keep loyal customers?

Many businesses seem to think their customers are stupid and will not notice continuing increases.

After 12 years, it's no wonder you wouldn't know why anyone uses Comcast. I switched to Xfinity/Comcast a few years ago when I dropped DirecTV. It was an upgrade for less money for us.

But I do agree with you about spending a few extra pennies for more options. Well worth it as long as it's not tooooo many extra pennies.

I agree. According to the OP, apparently they don't even have the basic Xfinity DVR service, which allows you to pause live TV. I would miss half of the program going to the bathroom.

Apples to Apples please, You still have to pay for internet service to add to that "about $135" so that brings it to "about $180-$200". Which is about $30-$50 more than I pay for similar service from Comcrap with 400Mbps internet & 230 channels of which I watch maybe 4 consistently and 10-15 on rare occasion. And that INCLUDES $25 ($15 + $10 for no-cap) rental of their modem because in order to get unlimited data (no 1TB cap) I have to use their modem or pay $25 extra if I use my own which is a wash. I need no-cap because I have 2 hi-res security cams which use about 700GB each a month. Yes, I know there are other cams that use less data but that was my choice.

I was an MDU tech support trainer for DirecTV for 5 years and love their DVR's vs Comcrap but don't like their pricing structure.
