Why are people jumping on the messenger? They are trying to be helpful by sharing info they were told. And why is it a big deal that a doctor wants to see proof you had the vaccine? They probably want to update your medical records and can't just take your word for it. Why jump to the conclusion that they won't see the patient without it? Lighten up, people.

I do the same with documents, it works very well.

The lot number is on the card. Should there be any issues in the future, you can be notified.

Well, if my doctor did not believe me if I told them I had had the shot and needed written verification, I would start shopping around for another doctor. What about all the other information you give them? Will they believe that? I think you should get an image of it tattooed on your forehead. Permanent and informative.

I laminated our cards two weeks ago. So far they have not turned black. I do like the idea of the photo of the card, especially since the card doesn’t fit into my wallet.

Took our International Certificate of Vaccination (Yellow Booklet) and asked if they could put the info in that also. No problem. Just ask them. They are doing a great job. Make sure you thank everyone you come in contact with.

I was vaccinated in Lake County. I was instructed to give this to all my Drs to put in my medical records. Will also be traveling out of the country in September and have been told I must provide this CDC card. When I traveled all over Asia and Africa, I had to show the same type of vaccination record upon entering the country. Mine has been documented with the lot number of my particular batch. I can not imagine even trying to obtain this information from and state, local or federal agency at this point in time.

The card would not turn black. The little stickers they had put on the card turn black from the heat of the lamination. Take a picture of it with your phone, put the card in the little plastic case they gave you and put it with your passport, (just like we used to do with the old yellow WHO cards.

Your sarcasm really adds no value to this discussion. My Dr immediately scanned it in to my record. If there are adverse reactions down the road, he can report it to the CDC with the lot number. It is not a question of what you tell your Dr and if he or she chooses to believe you. If your Dr did not want to document your vaccination record, had you had one, in to your medical records, maybe you should be looking for a new Dr.

Thank you. My doctor asked to let them know when I receive my 2nd dose & I will be sure to bring my card. Good info about lot #. Makes total sense.

perhaps hot lamination causes the issue of turning black - cold lamination may not
