The sports section stinks.....one would think we live in Detroit, Boston or Cleveland based on their coverage instead of FLA. The local columnists are terrible too, a perfect example was the column yesterday trashing the TPC.

I wouldn't give it up because I enjoy reading it with my breakfast as long as you understand it is a rah-rah The Villages.
Once they had a promotion about a sidewalk sale in Colony. I was there and saw a couple stores have a rack of clothing that they couldn't sell on the sidewalk and maybe 6 customers looking at it. These clothes are either in sizes that very few people can wear or just too ugly to want to wear. The
paper the next day reported a huge success with crowds. Huh?
The weather forecasting is a joke as is most weather forecasting. If we have a rainy day you can bet that the newspaper will have on the front page that rain didn't stop Villagers from having a great day.

The opinion article I read said that the TPC shouldn't be a major. Solid article IMHO.

We thoroughly enjoy the Daily Sun. It does a great job covering The Villages. There are numerous news sites in the internet to research news and opinions.

Amen, I was waiting for someone to say that!!! I don't watch the "real" news - it is all biased to the left, it is all sensationalized to get you to watch, it is all negative, and most of it doesn't really affect you. The Daily sun is positive, leans the correct way, and is informative.

Great TV news and love that the real news (AP) contradicts the op-ed page daily. I have online subscriptions to real papers (Fla Times Union and O-town Sentinal) for real news

The AP is not real news... you have to be kidding. It is interesting to me what some people call real. It is all supported by advertising and sensationalized.
