All wastewater treatment for s of 466A is done at the facility near the Bacall golf course.

Sludge is the solid wasts from the sewer treatment plants, it is spread onto a flat surface of land and allowed to dry. I recall people in out small Illinois town lining up with their pickup trucks for a load of the dried sludge which they would use as fertilizer.
I think you have the answer -- the sludge from the sewer treatment plant is dried and spread --- then when the sprinklers go off it wets the sludge and there is the smell

Who cares - if you research it and find the real answer you will probably not be able to do anything about it --- but if you do research it and get the real answer please tell us - until then try making a guess like everyone else

What you see spread on the courses is purchased from an outside source, and it is actually "baked " sludge. We do not use the sludge from our plant, it is shipped out for processing.

A: People who live here?

C: Beats me.

By the way guys south of 466A...over by Morse, is it still there or is it gone so we can bury this horse?

Maybe it's the dead horse that's causing the odor.

it"s still human waste no matter if baked, broiled or deep fried. It could easily be seen on the course. We were walking in it, hitting our golf balls thru it and then picking up that same golf ball....mulligan, a duck is still a duck no matter how you dress it.

Once again, it is fish kill do to temperature inversion from all of the rain. I read an article in The Daily Sun (I think it was the Sun) several weeks back, that talked about the problem. The warm water on top of the ponds does not hold as much O2 and with all of the rain the warm water if forced to the bottom of the pond and the O2 rich cooler water is forced to the top and some of the fish die causing quite a stink
