Default Also in Pinellas with Roof Shingles Stripped off

Is there any way we in Pinellas can have someone/company place the needed tarp over the areas missing the shingles until all of this is settled? I live on Tallsman Court off Isleworth Circle. I filed a claim via e-mail to ASI and have not heard anything from them yet, as of 3:00 pm, Tuesday.

The problem is . . . . who is going to put it on your roof?
If you've found someone to do it, you might as well have your roof repaired properly, and not simply put a band-aid on it.

Try Googling his name.
You might have better luck finding his number that way.
Also, look in the phone book.

Exactly, I wrote about a defect problem with Certainteed.
When I had my roof re-worked I told the contractor to send a crew that used hammer and nails only. He sent a crew of Mexicans and they worked hard, fast, and long hours They picked up every nail that fell around my property. They did an excellent job.

Nail guns can be a problem

Not a roofer but my though is that the plastic has to be removed and the heat of the sun will then be able to seal the shingles together.

We're in Charlotte and lost shingles too. Our house is 3 years old. I used E.P.I.C. to repair our roof yesterday. I couldn't agree more, the winds were not high enough to do the number of houses. There were 6 houses just on my block. My certainteed shingles are guaranteed for 130 mph if "PROPERLY" installed. Give E.P.I.C. a call. I couldn't be happier with there responsiveness and their quality of work. Their reviews are great too right here on TOTV.

You're half right! YOU ARE NOT A ROOFER. The link I added to post 6. https://www.gaf.com/Warranties_Techn...R_2011_106.pdf It explains alot.

They were on all the shingles of the roofs that were damaged. My question: do shingles have this thin layer of plastic on when, applied to the roof? Thanks for any information. Also, recommendation for a roofer? We are 6-7 homes in a circle that need their houses done! Glad we are all safe!
Could you tell us what eventually has happened with your problem?

I called warranty and was told SPS Roofing installed our shingles. As of today and (17) days later SPS still has a mailbox that is full and therefore you are unable to leave any message. Does anybody have the same problem? Called warranty again and their response is that they are busy???? Hmmmmm, any recommendations? Nothing major wrong BUT a repair is needed.HELP!
