Well, some posters said these posts stink.
Others say, if you knew The Great Fumar, you'd know he's yanking your leash.
Given the subject at hand...ur, foot (doggie poop), I say there's an approprate name for the controversy:

See JimJoe, that's how it's done. Here's a dog lover who walks the walk. I know what your saying about being considerate, but I see it as inconsiderate to deliberately walk a dog in my yard specifically to get it to go, all the while holding a plastic bag like that makes it fine. I'm only saying that you put up such a defense of dog walkers that you should have had the courage of your convictions as this poster does.

Please just say howdy to the next dog walker. I do and it is a great way to meet your neighbors and make new friends. I promise you it will open a new world for you and all others who are "worried" about a dog stepping on your grass.
I do walk the walk. Will you?

Never said I would; this is your crusade and I still don't see your invitation to fellow dogs walkers. What more is there to say?

Default Dog Do Do

If a responsible person has a dog, first the dog should always be on a leash even in the yard. Second you always pick up the poop, bag it and TAKE IT HOME TO DISPOSE OF. We who do not have dogs do not want to smell the poop around the mailbox or in any common area. When people walk their dogs why do they let the dog pee on someone elses lawn, why not walk the dog around your own house.

It's not a rule, but you shouldn't do that. Take your bag home!! People have to empty those trash containers and if everyone added a bag can you imagine how it would smell. But thanks for being a responsible dog owner and at least picking up. Some don't have the common courtesy to do that!!

We just purchased a home at TV and I am sorry to hear that it sounds as if we might have to walk on eggshells when it comes to walking our dog. A bit of an uptight society there it seems, am I wrong in feeling this way? I certainly hope it is not the case.

Amen!

Can we now move on to cigarette butts?

You don't have to walk on egg shells, just be a good neighbor and curb your dog. Take home your own dogs poop, take home your cigarette butts and use common sense when you are out in public. IF YOU WOULD NOT DO IT, DON"T ALLOW YOUR DOG TO DO IT.

Now if you would pee on your neighbors yard or flip your Cigarette butts on their driveway or yard, then you may not get it. So just follow the simple rule of: Act like a good neighbor. I had a neighbor in Virginia that had a truck and three cars in the family. He always had a least one car parked in the front yard. I understand, that it was OK with him and he needed the parking space, but I would not have been a happy camper if he decided it would be OK to park one or more of his cars in my front yard. Point is, if it is not yours, let the owner make their own rules for their own property. Let them choose their own religious denomination, their own type of food too enjoy without your interference. I personally do not want anyone making my personal decisions for me. You deciding that yellow spots on my yard or a few cigarette butts in my yard should not bother me are very rude of you or as I like to say, the Grey matter over the shoulders of some folks just does not have the density to produce complex thought; therefore, they just don't get it.

Congratulations on your new home

I think that you'll find that the majority of residents in The Bubble love dogs. I don't know the dog population, but I'll bet it is at least 10,000. A lot of homes (mine included) have two dogs. And of course, respecting others and picking up after your dog is just common sense.

When you read threads on dog issues, I know that there are some pretty angry comments. But I think they come from the vocal minority. It definitely isn't an "uptight" society here in TV.

Don't worry, you've made the right decision .. you'll love it here.
