I had a neighbor who was so dumb he let his dog mark my young trees to the point they were dying. I went out and bought Cayenne Pepper and loaded the tree up with the pepper. End of problem.

Too many dog owners lose track that it is a dog. A dog is a pack animal the reason why IF your neighbor has several they will bark growl together. One is the leader and that will be obvious. Also, by instinct a dog will not welcome another dog or even people on to it's property

The question in the OP. Am I wrong? Then name calling a holes. Then Merry Christmas to ME. Does not sound like you are completely innocent.

Sadly, when things start bad it is difficult to turn things around-BUT IT CAN BE DONE.
Perhaps, there is someone that would help both of you? Perhaps, the villages?
The hardest part is rejecting the thought, I'm gonna get even-I'm gonna teach them a lesson. That is the hardest part, for BOTH SIDES of every issue.
Not disagreeing with your overall message but there are couple of incorrect points you made. Two dog rule is true in most districts but not all. If the OP lives in District 13, there are no limit on the number of domestic pets. Also, leash law does not apply to one’s own yard. Doesn’t negate the fact that the neighbor sounds like a irresponsible dog owner that is oblivious to other’s concerns or property.

Meanwhile, don't forget, the dogs in pack mode could be dangerous and if she should suffer a bite call police immediately to have the dogs removed for they are dangerous and the neighbor should not be allowed to have them if she can't or won't control them.
all very good points. maybe she should have someone else film as she may need to 'rescue' her own dog.

You are correct, I am in District 13 so no limits plus I wouldn't turn her in anyway, that will just start a war! I just want her to change her behavior & not walk outside with her unleashed pack, in consideration for others. I also want an apology for blaming me as a cause, but won't hold my breath. I could never be mean or cause harm to others, my mommy raised me right..

It would be nice if pet owners could take responsibility for their unruly pets and consider others. It’s totally unacceptable for your neighbor to let them run onto your property.

It's sad to see so many bad dog owners in TV. THE MAJORITY ARE GREAT, but there are too many owners that let their precious little rat sized dogs do whatever enters their little rat sized brains. They never train their dogs to walk properly, socialize with other dogs, or stay in their own yard.

I agree with the suggestion to carry whatever type of pepper spray that's legal. The dog will remember it use and will avoid the human that used it. I know this from experience. It is too bad the idiot owner set the dog up for such an event, but you can't fix them.

Makes one wish they could get an invisible fence shock collar, put it around the irresponsible dog owners neck, crank it up to maximum, and blast the idiot every time their dogs are allowed to run leash free on your property. It’s not the dogs that need training, it’s the irresponsible owner!

Next its gonna have a little vinegar in there.
Obviously I don't want to hurt any dog, as you wouldn't either...but maybe carry a little spray bottle with you and give them a startle. I sure hope it's just little ones that are running out to you, because if not, it's time for some authoritative person step in...maybe write a ticket.
Eitherway, Merry Christmas
Keep in mind it's not the dog's fault... It's the owner. All dogs ARE to be leashed, there is a fine. Also yes they will do what a dog does and walk them or live beside them... they will pee and poop, and it is legal even on your property... but they HAVE TO PICK UP THE POOP.. you can report them.

Actually, it is both. The responsibility lies with the owner.

thanks, it is a shame because so many are great doggie parents but the few will always ruin it for those around them. I guess I am expected to stand there and watch them come at us and wait for something bad to happen before reacting based on the owners words ?? Its not the dogs fault which is why I am trying to avoid something bad happening which will then cause a lot of unnecessary and unwanted drama in our neighborhood. I understand now why people move around TV multiple times but it should not be like this here and I am pretty shocked at the behavior for sure. This is fixable but my neighbors won't change so now I have to be on alert and avoid this issue best I can but this is so unfair for the cost of living here, I deserve better ;(

Dog on leash can only go on neighbors property if owner let's it. Going onto neighbors property Without permission is called trespass. Using neighbors property as a toilet for your dog(s) is disgusting, rude and being a bad neighbor.
