Default Style…

Frustrating topic, I know. If you’re an observer it is fun ( after several deep, calming breaths) to watch those few, selfish dog owners who don’t clean up after their dogs. The most experienced ignore the poop with a nonchalance that is only seen in nearly nude runway models. Less experienced peeps checking their pockets for bags they never brought, may lecture the dog about the impolite behavior and march off with the dog in tow. The folks who let their dogs run as they follow (especially at the Springdale power plant path) make sure enough distance is kept between themselves and the dog that they can deny to anyone they actually saw the dog poop less they actually have to get out of their carts. I see this version as having more of an arrogant and entitled spin than all the others. Although all of them have disregard for their neighbors and I’m stumped as to what the perps could be thinking. It’s obvious to anyone that the emperor has no clothes and the darting eyes acknowledge it. Without knowing what a poop perp is thinking, the evidence shows they don’t care. They will never read this blog and some will even tantrum if called out as the OP described. That’s what gets under the skin of us that do and have to clean up for them.

Hope scooterstang is not suggesting anyone who values their own life tries something as stupid as that. You never know what the other person might do to defend themselves. Very bad things could happen.

I, for one, seriously doubt that was their intention. Simply telling a tale from the "good old days".

I recently noticed a Dog Owner walking his Dog on a neighborhood corner property. The owner appeared to be not paying any attention to the dog. After the dog pooped the dog owner walked away without picking up the poop. I backed up the car and informed the owner as he was walking away that he did not pick up the dogs poop!! He stated I always pick up the dogs poop!! I stated well you didnt pick it up this time. Pick up your dogs poop. He told me to go XXXX myself. Another day I was driving into my neighbor hood and I noticed the same owner again not picking up after his dog!!

THE VILLAGES is a beautiful place to live!! Our neighbors spend a great deal of money on maintaining their property to keep it looking nice.

IF YOU DON'T WANT TO PICK UP AFTER YOUR DOG THEN WALK THE DOG ON YOUR OWN PROPERTY NOT SOMEONE ELSE'S!!!!!!!!
Learn where this person lives & report it to Animal Control & The Villages, date/time.
I have scooped poo before & placed in offender’s yard or sidewalk. They give the complying dog owners a bad reputation.

We had dogs for more than 33 years. (not now though). I made a potty area on our property using shredded mulch surrounded by bricks to keep the mulch in place. The mulch was soft on their paws so they liked that comfort. Our dogs loved the area and gave us no problem at all doing their business in the potty area. Worked for us and the dogs.

Sorry you are so wrong, dog owners need to walk their dog on their own property to poop.
Do you get it now??

Which is what we do. Then... We take her for a walk...

And guess what? More times than not, she'll poop again (it's what dogs do when you take them for a walk...)

And we proceede to clean it up.

But sure... Y'all be faux "tough guys" and turn on sprinklers or alarms, shoot BBs at people and run up and confront them...

I'm guessing the thing that never happened is you walked the dog in your own yard first. But, if I'm wrong (which you will say I am), where does your dog make its second download? If it is on some neighbors yard then you failed as a responsible dog owner and good neighbor. Dogs never belong on someone else's yard unless invited before hand, that way "accident" don't happen.

Oh, dear... I failed... My dog actually dropped a deuce 12" from the curb (which was promptly picked up)... The HORROR!

Oh, and yes, you are WRONG. We ALWAYS walk our dog in our own yard first, before venturing out... Most times, she does her business there. Sometimes, not...

Maybe you're able to crap on command, but I've found most dogs haven't mastered that trick...

Now, will you admit that the blowhards who swear they'll turn on their sprinklers form their phones or set of their alarms or shoot BBs at dogs are full of crap?

Someone might ask, was the dog on someone else’s lawn at any time? Someone who has not invited the dog to be there? Because that’s where the problem usually starts. On my street I notice that every dog, well except for one renter who didn’t know the expectations, walks on the road or on “public” areas near cul-de-sacs, outside fenced areas, parkettes etc
