This is called "algorithms." It's a thing. AI looks for prevalence and consistency and frequency in data. Where it finds high frequency of consistent data, it will bring that source higher on the display list. The reason you're seeing more of your opinion validated, is because you are validating it with your opinion every other post. Pages upon pages of the same opinion pings AI into saying "hey - this opinion is a doozie. Let's put it on top." AI doesn't know the difference between high quality data and crappy noise. |

Where do they think the gas comes from? Do they think someone in the Morse Family just sits outside their neighborhood eating beans while sitting on a funnel inserted into a pipe? |

“ Sabal is going to put another gas pipeline along side the existing pipeline and it will effect all residence along the walking path where the existing pipeline is.this will,of course, lower the value of your property”
An appraisal needs to be done by a qualified appraiser with experience in acquisition takings before any determination can be made as to the effect on the value of any property in the after situation. This is not typical appraisal work and needs to be done by an appraiser with extensive expertise in the area of eminent domain acquisitions. |

Exactly! Depending on how you question AI, you will get different answers.
Example: A friend tells you cashews are poisonous. You question AI: Can cashews kill you? You then ask: Are there harmful risks when eating cashews? You then ask: Are cashews good for you? Finally, you ask: What is the nutritional value in cashews? Each time you will get a different response. As one poster commented, it is the algorithm. In my opinion, you should not trust the first answer you receive. Try asking several ways and then come to your best conclusion. |

Meanwhile, you are doing what is known as "cherrypicking." You use the search engine to seek out lists of information, and then choosing which one supports what you WANT the answer to be. If you were to actually research, you'd discover that your answer is just - simply - false. |

‘The more you enter posts into this forum, the more likely the search results will show more ToTV sources as "the sources" of the results.
Let's put it on top." AI doesn't know the difference between high quality data and crappy noise.’ —————- That’s not quite how AI training or AI search works. Posting the same opinion repeatedly on Talk of The Villages doesn’t “train” an AI to believe it, and repetition doesn’t automatically make a source authoritative. When an AI searches the web, it may find forum posts just as a search engine can, but it can also weigh the source, context, relevance and other available information. Training is a separate process using large datasets selected and processed by the companies building the models. Our posts here don’t simply flow into a model’s brain every time we hit “submit.” And AI certainly can distinguish, imperfectly, between stronger and weaker sources. If it couldn’t, I’d be very nervous asking it anything on the internet. |

1. Sabal is in the planning phase. 2. The notifications sent to homeowners were a request to survey their property 3. When the pipeline was first laid, the land in the Villages was designated as rural. Sabal had to get Federal approval to change the classification. 4. The new pipeline is needed due to population increase in the southern section of the Villages including Middleton 5. The Village of Linden was mentioned as an area of interest 6. Pools, recreation centers, and golf paths also abut the pipeline. The definition of research is COLLECTING, analyzing, and interpreting data or information. When I research, I find it important to COLLECT information from various sources. In this instance, you are satisfied with the information you collected. Using your information, you interpret the Villages is not involved in the Sabal expansion. Believe as you wish and I will do the same. |

I recommend that all Villages homeowners get an official plat of their property. It is important to know where your property lines are located, especially your front property line. Typically, the front property line is set back about 10 feet from the edge of the street. This 10-foot strip of land is called a road "right-of-way", and it is owned by the county, NOT by the homeowner, even though the homeowner is required to mow the grass and to maintain the land. Any utility company would need to deal with the county regarding installing a utility on this land. They do not need to take any land by eminent domain, as long as they are not using the homeowner's land.
I don't know the details of the Sabal pipeline, but I find it difficult to believe that they would need to seize land by eminent domain from 1,500 homeowners. On my street alone, there are several homeowners who have constructed stone retaining walls and large palm trees on property that they DO NOT own. I seriously doubt that they got permission to encroach on the street right-of-way. |

The first normal google search result is also this very thread, even higher than the project's official sabaltransmission.com site. Any particular AI model may not be using it as the only source, but at least Gemini is definitely "learning" from this thread with little concern or realization of the echo chamber building here with people posting their own AI search results along with opinion and conjecture. AI seems to be susceptible to the documented human fallacy of "a lie told often enough becomes the truth", most commonly attributed to Joseph Goebbels The bottom line for me is that I do not ever trust an AI implicitly at this point. AI can be useful to point me toward sources, acting as a more capable search engine, but I've had Gemini and ChatGPT both confidently give me objectively completely false information, and only when I drill down asking it to cite its sources it simply apologizes and concedes that it was wrong. |
