That’s not flute I see it all time in my neck of woods, most hit two or three shots off tee and approach shots, I sure they are fixing all the divots….

I know of too many instances in the Villages in which an encounter with the wrong Villager resulted in death, a prison sentence, or years of legal fees. No thanks! I will leave the golf ball behind and move on. So what? My golf score is terrible. It is not like the PGA had interest in me. It is just a game among friends. At the end, I would probably brag that I am the worst golfer in the Villages. A title is a title, right?
It's not a law, it's not a deed restriction, it's not an official rule. It's a point of etiquette. Driving while distracted, however, is against actual law. Remember that next time you're driving your golf cart nice and slow, so that you can look at and enjoy the scenery.

Again, I base my decisions on the belief that my interpretation may not be another's interpretation. I try to not provoke ANYONE. I never go into a homeowner's yard without permission, never try to prevent a speeder, never drive slow to enjoy the scenery but do so when another is driving slow ahead of me. I have no idea how others will react. I relax, remain calm, and avoid confrontation. The FEW MINUTES of keeping my head on straight will keep my stress levels low, prevent unwanted hassles, and may even save my life.

I don't even see it as a point of etiquette. If all the golfer is doing is walking onto the back part of a property to retreive a golf ball, and not bothering the homeowner, the homeowner is being unreasonable to object. The homeowner is the one who is violating proper etiquette. If the homeowner didn't want golf balls on his/her property, then they should not have bought a house on the golf course.

I don't know what's the big deal? Go on the property, get your ball and leave. As quickly as possible. Don't daddle.

HO should put up signs that read "No Trespassing. Trespassers will be shot".

Feel free to base your decisions on your personal beliefs and interpretations. I'll base mine on actual facts.
