Last Thanksgiving Tampa to Denver on Southwest. Almost ready to leave the gate and they gave a drunk the boot. Was glad to see the creep gone.

I guess forced mask wearing is causing some of it and the mask police also not helping.
I was on a Flight from Frankfurt and I started hearing hollering and commotion back in Steerage.

We were already delayed about 2 hours and we turned around and drove back to the gate.

Turns out someone was in a full on seizure. They got a doc on the plane, checked out the person, now fine, and off we went. Caught the next departure window.

As for "When was the last time you flew". For me about a month ago. Flying again in 3 weeks. My last international was in December of 19, but I've done at least 10 domestic flights since Covid. It really is not a BFD. Just put your magic face talisman on and off you go.

Hawaiian Airlines, had to have 2 planes return to Honolulu because of unruly passengers. Hawaii takes Covid seriously; a California couple was arrested because they gave a fraudulent negative test so they could avoid quarantine.

I fly every other week all over the country. Ive never seen a passenger removed. We had one on a southwest who was repeatedly scolded about his mask, but nothing escalated. Ive been on Allegiant, Southwest, Delta, American, Jetblue and Suncountry this summer.

I mean, I flew a lot back then and never once got hijacked, so I guess the media was just starting the pot about hijacking then, like the media is telling us are about a$$hats refusing to follow the rules they agreed to when they bought their tickets and causing problems for everyone else because, you know, they got rights and nobody is gonna make them wear a mask if they don't want to.

And it is not just airlines, it's restaurants, stores, pretty much any business that wants to require masks is taking a big chance on being a target of these people.

I was on a Southwest flight when an argument started between a young man and an older woman. The young man just wanted to listen to his ipod but the woman was speaking so loudly the whole plane could hear her. Luckily before it could escalate to fists flying (by the woman) an off duty Air Marshall identified himself and stepped in. He made the woman move to a different seat away from her friends. She kept yelling at the air marshall that no one could tell her what to do. She just wouldn't shut up. She was finally quiet and the air marshall stood the whole flight watching the woman.

I assume they fit the profile, but that is just a wild assumption on my part. There is certainly a group of people that feel they can do whatever they want to do. And THEY seem to be growing in visibility and acting out.

We were boarding in Athens, Greece in August and all of a sudden there was a thud and the young guy going to New York had a seizure of some kind. His head hit the floor like a bowling ball and he was shaking. People helped stabilize and calm him but the majority had to board the plane. Closest I’ve come to any event. Sorry for the guy that missed his flight.

Yeah, it happens. Friend in The Villages was taking a flight north and an idiot started a fracas on the plane. Turned into a nightmare between calming the passengers and the troublemaker and then landing in an emergency, trying to connect missed flights and said person hasn’t flown since. It was terrifying.
