As a business traveler, I have seen Surely flight attendants. Either they had a bad morning or just realized they have a crappy job.

Because the American airline industry is the most competitive in the world because it's the most capitalistic and without any of these charges they would all be in bankruptcy

Default Thanks for the comedy

My guess is most of the people that are commenting don’t fly anyway as they’re stuck in their homes with nothing better to do. I guess they haven’t had two or three friends die of Covid. But I do appreciate the comedy it’s like reading the Star without having to buy it on the publics new stand so thank you 🙏 keep the insanity coming!

By the way until the seventies came along if you remember the year plane industry was highly regulated by price per mile legislation. Interestingly however in the 40 or 50 years since deregulation the price to go from the east coast to the West Coast and stayed exactly the same and you can get flights still pretty darn cheap anywhere. If you want to blame the lack of direct flights from many locations, I believe it was either American or United they came up with this great idea called hub and spoke where they would pack their planes for shorter flights and make you take one or two flights to get from here to there by going through XXX City and making it their hub. Atlanta , chicago, Denver, miami, and New York City are major hubs. However that also gave the opportunity for small agile airline companies to develop, we now have allegiant, and frontier just to name two at flight is several hundred cities each directly out of either Orlando, or Tampa, locally for us. I also believe there's an airline that flies out of Minneapolis several hundred cities doing the same thing and growing. There is also Spirit out of Newark New Jersey and these airlines will have flights from $19, which is what People's Express charged back in the seventies to go from Newark to Washington DC. How many of you guys remember that they were the first low cost airline? The American system of free enterprise is alive and well still, and it's amazing that we will get investors willing to put up hundreds of millions of dollars to start an airline

One does not have to make up stories to make the anti-maskers/vaxers look bad. They do a good job on their own.

Whenever I fly, I surely see flight attendants. Some of them are very surly.

I don't dare post the song, but for those who are wondering what you're talking about, just go to YouTube and type in - "Frankie goes to Hollywood + relax."

Airlines and profit should not be used in the same sentence unless you figure in the huge bailout they received in 2020

Just flew Southwest and no issues at all. They tell you up front t before boarding and after boarding to to keep nose covered and to your chin with a mask or face not boarding and penalties

I used to fly a lot while touring with my company and there was a 'bad drunk' coworker who would love to pick a fight with someone after having way too many drinks on the flights. Glad it never ended up preventing us from reaching our destination. He eventually got fired for another reason. Such a waste of talent, for stupid behaviour. He's been doing work that he hates ever since. Tough life lesson.

to the original poster, (OP)

Your mind is playing its usual assymetric tricks, if you realize it. . your mind weights negative information much more heavily than no other news or good news. . . . and it even has a really, really hard time with very tiny percentages. its a human survival hardwiring trick that requires alot of practice to overcome in today's world.

first, there are some 5,000+ domestic airflights a day. .
so 1 incident is a 1/5000 = 0.02% percent of the flights. . and if you get one of those a week, then the percentage of flights with an unruly passenger is 1/(35,000) flights = 0.002857%. If you fly once every three months, its about 1 in 100,000 flights, a probability with lots of zeroes . . . like a lightning strike at your house. . .

So please, just feel sorry for those people who hit the unlucky number on the flight roulette wheel. .

good luck, although doubtful you will need it.
