That place has always been high, expect that when shopping there. It’s fresh all right, fresh on price. But, they know certain people will shop there regardless of price.

Not true. In that case you get what they advertise, $3.99 for ground Chuck and 2.99 for chicken breast.

I buy the prime meat at Fresh Market and have never been disappointed. They sell a number of meat items by portion and not by pound. The prices are clearly marked.

Actually, the price on their website today is $29.99. Why would you report that it is $10 higher????? Want some help searching the Internet?

Because I looked at the wrong item, JUST AS YOU DID. (Do you want some help yourself?)

I'll go back and correct my post. It appears the 10oz boneless ribeyes are $19.99 ea or $32.00/lb. Still consistent with a $35.17/lb price earlier in the month. I didn't realize the price of meat varied so much.

There are two businesses near the Villages that I will not shop at anymore. Fresh Market and any Jenkins Auto Dealerships.

What with all the figuring tossed aside, looks like 4 steaks for the price of 3. A savings of 25%???
Rarely shop FM, but thanks for your comments. Forewarned is forearmed. Always double check the final price per pound or unit price.

A few months back I bought three advertised specials at F.M. of "AT LEAST 10 OZ" prime filets for some single flat price (forgot what the price was already) which they often run to be cooked shortly after I got home and which takes about an hour to cook (pellet smoker). When I got home they looked really small so I put them on my quite accurately weight verified scale and 2 weighed just over 7 OZ and one just under 8 OZ. Their scales weighed in fractions of a pound and not directly in ounces, and I didn't really do the conversions nor did I think I needed to. I had to go back there (~15 mile RT) to get them replaced and the meat guy said "yea, we hear this a lot." The manager was pretty "fresh" when I complained to her but I guess that's why it's called "fresh" market. They couldn't resell the ones I returned and had to throw them out. I asked the guy why rather than toss them he couldn't just tell me to keep them for my aggravation. He said "ask the manager" and I said "no thanks." After all of that they were pretty lousy tasting filets.

This was a place I was going to try but when I posted about it everyone said it was extremely dirty inside.

4 steaks at $21.99 and you paid for 3 and got 1 free. Sounds like 25% off to me.
