I'm still believing that if you see a dog and owner walking by your yard and it looks like they are going to visit your yard - tell them VERY PLEASANTLY not to stop in your yard. The Villagers I have met will respect that request and move on and chances are that they will continue to respect your request.

Turning your hose on them, calling them names, etc are not the ways of Americans - unless you are voting for --------.
