I have spoken to one party several times and have been call an a-hole for bringing it up. Once a dog visits your property every other dog in the neighborhood needs to mark his territory in the same spot.

P.S. his property is flawless
I understand your problem and realize a number of people share your concern. I guess the only answer is to move to a location where dogs are not welcome. Maybe a village can be built that will be pet free.

A village specifically for people who don't like pets would be smaller and faster to build.

Surely poop and scoop in the neighborhood is tolerated by most as long as it's not always and only on your yard and not theirs. What am I missing?
How about in the owners yard. It may take a few times, but when fido needs to go keep him in your own yard 'till he does his business. It just takes a little training, just like he's been trained to hold it until he gets to the neighbors yard.

True, but OP shouldn't have to fight this kind of war with his neighbor. We are retired and don't need this nonsense.

GracieGirl please do not try to put any other words into it. It was as stated. If any other words were uttered I did not hear them.
The only harsh words were spoken by the offender, then a equal response was returned by me.

You are correct. It is nonsense. I see people every single day picking up their dog poop off my lawn, my neighbors lawn, etc. All of these lawns are beautiful and meticulous, and very green. The main point is ....THEY ARE PICKING IT UP!! Why oh why let something so insignificant to upset anyone. Life is short, there are much more important things to bitch about.

Let's see it is 3:19, I have been sitting on my lanai since 3am getting work done, and consoling a friend over his son. There have been 16 dogs that have peed on my lawn and the day is not over, so you can't pick up urine, I don't see you carrying water to rinse the spot, so I just can let the lawn die but I have spent $400. Last month to top dress and fix dead spots. So if you don't mind could you leave $5 each time you walk your dog from your yard to mine so I can continue bring back the dead lawn, that you complained about it looked bad. Nope our gray dog now down yet, but he never leaves our yard.

You have counted 16 dogs peeing on your lawn. I presume each of these were accompanied by their owner. Instead of sitting on your lanai just watching, walk to the dog's owner BEFORE the dog does his thing and tell them in a PLEASANT but firm voice to keep moving on!

A lot smaller. And the Village of Nope would probably take a long, long time to sell out.

Life is short, don't sweat the small stuff. Most dog owners are responsible and conscientious.
