Yea I would do that but the conversation I was having with my best friend about removing his 28 year old son from a vent and saying goodbye was too important. I was counting the dogs for him to take his mind off how bad our conversation was going. So no I didn't stop what I was doing to talk to an owner who will just tell me it's just pee. I am already having a not so good day. The dog counting did make him laugh a little and told me my day might be worse than his

My dog does her business before we go on our walks. However, the exercise gets her going and she will have another #2 while out on our walk. I ALWAYS pick. She also (like most dogs) likes to "mark" along the way....at least a dozen times......very little, but yes, she's peeing a bit. All of the dogs in my neighborhood seem to do the same. All #2's are picked up...ALWAYS.

Now....for those that have a definite problem with this #2 (picked up), or small amounts of #1.....put a small sign out on your lawn. You know, the one with the dog pooping with an \ through it.....or a NO DOGS sign. When I see this sign. (We have one in my neighborhood), I immedietly move across the street. I always keep my pup away from anyone that has a sign.

I moved to a dog friendly community and my dog and I will continue to walk my neighborhood. I will continue to pick up any messes just like my neighbors do.
By the way...my dog pees all over my lawn and my lawn is beautiful, green and not one brown spot. Don't blame the dogs, get a better landscaper.

Last month to top dress and fix dead spots. So if you don't mind could you leave $5 each time you walk your dog from your yard to mine so I can continue bring back the dead lawn, that you complained about it looked bad. Nope our gray dog now down yet, but he never leaves our yard.
I want a job where I can sit for 12 hours and actually get work done!

Okay, back to the topic at hand. I was just trying to punch up the numbers.

That's not true for every dog, gerryann. One of mine kills the grass; the other doesn't. It has nothing to do with the landscaper. The markers don't kill the grass because they're not depositing as much urine at a time. The non markers put out much more volume, and it does kill the grass. The little dogs that pee on our grass by the curb daily never kill the grass--again, volume issue.

Short leash, you control, keep dog(s) on the street and off everyone else's lawn. It's so easy. You're not walking them to "mark," you're walking them for exercise. One of my dogs will not "have another #2" while walking. The other one might "have another #2," but in the street, which is actually easier to pick up. Problem solved.

Who's the boss, anyway, the owner or the dog?

Better still than dogs, why are people allowed to let their criminal low-life sons or daughters live with them? We have some sex-offenders live in our Village and one of them just got arrested again. Perhaps that's another conversation that needs to be discussed in our paradise.

I have 2 no pooping signs on my property some people choose to ignore them. Maybe ignorance is blind. Maybe we should change this thread to a NO TRESPASSING PRIVATE PROPERTY thread.
A search on google will tell you dog urine can and will damage lawns.

Heheh...same here.

I am not in favor of letting a dog do any business on somebody else's property. But a little dog-pee does not ruin a yard.

I see the Snowbird apocalypse has passed, so now we are back to the poo and what to do about it for the 1000th time.

I would never ever for any reason ever allow my dog Mr. Barney do his business on your property. Give me a GD break. Some people actually care about their property. It's wonderful that your dog loves to exercise with you but be sure you drain him or her first at your house. If you don't you better be carrying a straw. I absolutely love animal's..my own animal's. This may be a little over the line but for illustration purposes only can you imagine for a moment everyone in TV pooping in one another's yard's? Me neither. Essentially that's what your doing by letting your dog use my lawn as your bathroom. Wake up! You don't break a rock by striking it with a hammer several time, one peep on a lawn won't burn it but repeated trips and peeps will. P.S. my dog can read. LOL

I agree with you; I have two small dogs that I could walk till they're worn out in our yard and they won't poop; as soon as I take them around the block, here it comes. I ALWAYS pick it up, along with the others that irresponsible dog owners don't. My camera monitored backyard has a sidewalk and peoples pet poop there a lot; a large percentage is picked up, those that don't, I will call them out.
