Leave it TOTV!! Old age is not kind....I wonder how many of the posters have lost some critical thinking skills, suffer from their own mental health issues, and or have cognitive decline.
A lot of understanding can be gained by reading ALL of the posts......before posting the same wrong opinion...

Golf carts are supposed to yield to automotive traffic. It is contrary to protocol for an automobile to stop after going through a guard gate in order to let golf carts proceed through the intersection.

There is a subset of Villages employees who are definitely on a power trip as you describe. We have all run into them. They are pathetic creatures who love to lord it over others just because they can, and it feeds their tiny egos. The person was definitely in the wrong. Luckily, workers like him seem to be in the minority. Report him. It is not behavior one would expect in the Friendliest Home Town.

Default Gate Employee

If he was following protocol, I think protocol needs to be corrected….. It is not fitting for the “Friendliest” city to have a protocol that is so contrary to their theme. And the gatekeeper could simply override protocol simply because he is working for the “friendliest” city…. Simply hypothetical

Also problematic if you have a lot of electronics in the mirror shell. Most work, some just won't. You can actually put it UNDER the mirror on the outside if you get a flexible sticker type "card" then cover it with a small piece of tape to sorta match your car color should you want to look under the mirror and have it bother you.

Now THAT is not a true statement. Have you tried all the others, "Ed's" and otherwise? I know another Ed who does it for 1/2 that and won't take money unless the person is satisfied. Sounds like self-promotion. Now "your Ed" did mine, but there are lots of other "Ed's" and other names as well that are just as reliable and you don't have to wait 3 months to have it done. .

It's a marketing slogan.

It's not a city.

Ed Thank You for saying that! I Install these transponders and I have a great reputation. I would be incredibly embarrassed if a client of mine gave me a recommendation while making blatantly false statements bashing my competition. I can not speak to the motivation of such acts, however, I would most certainly make it known that I do not condone or endorse that type of behavior.

There are several of us that are installing the transponders that allow for hands-free access to the village's gates. I follow these discussions on the forums religiously and I have never heard or read any legitimate negative statement about any of my competitors, only broad baseless and false claims that are always made by people who are recommending one specific installer.
I am not concerned if any of my current clients read those comments because they know they are simply not true. At the completion of every installation, I always provide my business card and urge my clients to reach out at any time if they have any questions or trouble using the transponder.

Potential future clients reading this please know that I offer

Satisfaction Guarantee
Lifetime (10 year) Warranty
Reprogramming of the transponder if you move to another home in The Villages.
When you change vehicles I uninstall the transponder from your old vehicle and install it on your new vehicle at no cost to you.
I thoroughly inform you about how the technology works and its limitations as well as guarantee it to work for you in the greater majority of the entrance gates throughout The Villages.
In addition to functionality, I have a strong focus on aesthetics. When the installation is complete, the transponder will not be visible and there will not be any ugly duct tape visible between the driver's side-view mirror and the mirror housing. In some cases where the inside of the side-view mirror housing is the same color as the body of the vehicle, I will go as far as to color match the transponder (as close as possible) so that it transitions seamlessly and is not an eyesore.

Not only do I back up my work, but I also take great pride in it, and providing this service to my community gives me immense satisfaction in knowing that my clients can access the gates in our community safely while keeping both hands on the steering wheel. My approach to this hands-free application is primarily from the perspective of safety and all of the conveniences that come along with it are a super sweet bonus!

I do not offer the cheapest price for my services, however, considering the warranty and post-installation services that are included, I can confidently say that I believe I have the best price and service.

Ellie ✌

What has happened to people, every store, everyone was soooo miserable...I truly wanted to slap them upside the head and tell them to stand up straight and cut the crap! One lady in walmart,on her mobile cart got mad at me because I was looking at salad dressing too long and she had to drive around me!!! Boy. Makes ya want to flatten her tire. Lol. The gatekeeper has control over the gates. If he/she closes the gate it stops the traffic. Now you know how that works.

WalMart what do you expect? The lady (term used loosely) probably lives outside TV or maybe not.
I am not miserable........
