They don't have to cross any traffic. They can open the resident gate from right inside their gate house.

No more gate attendants for the new builds. Phase out else where is likely next.

Not true. They don't work this way at every gate because the card sensor is not in the same position at every gate. Some gates it is higher, some lower. Some gates it is farther back from the curb, some closer. Something that that should have been standardized and easy to do but was not done.

Hmmmm, don’t be too quick to criticize from one experience? Where do you come up with that assumption? We have owned a home off of Morse, north of 466, for 6+ years. Over the years we have easily taken that route well over a thousand times via golf cart. Never have we observed the gate attendant purposely stagger auto traffic to allow golf carts to cross over to the MMP. On occasion, automobiles will stop to allow a few carts to cross. Whenever I am driving a car north through that gate (which is not frequently since we use our golf carts almost exclusively) I always stop and let several golf carts through, because I know first hand what a pain in the butt that area can be and it’s the right thing to do. Typically, when I stop to allow carts to cross over, the car horns start honking at me. The more they honk, the more golf carts I let through, and the longer the horn honkers wait.

This gate employee's behavior is despicable.

I did just this the other day under Gate Access Key Card.

Are gate access cards unique to the address/person? If so, who keeps or looks at the data collected. As cards can be cloned to place a small 125khz chip in a cars side mirror to activate the gate arm, is there a law that would prohibit that?

It's a pain and distracting to use the current card system. I would rather have something in place so that the window .......

WIll let you know how they respond!

There is no law prohibiting that.

I install the transponder in the side view mirror, providing for hands-free access to The Villages gates.
Welcome to call me if you have any questions or would like to schedule an appointment for an installation.

He could have stopped the cars coming thru the visitors gate. It would not take that long. He was on a power trip. Probably the most responsible job he ever had

He has a button inside the shack and can open the gate remotely.

Yes, he should have gotten in the car and retrieved it. Sure.
