The lizards are there because they find food (bugs) there. Take away their food and they will go away.

Why all this venom against Geckos? They're harmless.

From Wikipedia "Anoles function well as a native pest control as they will eat spiders, cockroaches, and other bugs and will run from humans whenever possible. Once a green anole has eaten it changes to a yellow color."

Venom? What venom? I've only read serious suggestions to keep them off the lanai or various expressions of humor. I didn't sense that anybody was trying to organize a posse of vigilantes to hunt them down, torcher then destroy the poor little creatures.

Geckos seem to be a lot like Spiders and frogs. One concern is are Geckos like mice and leave their droppings behind or do they do their business elsewhere? Sounds to me, Geckos are not a bad thing. Do they make noises like crickets or frogs or are they silent.

I object to geckos/anoles being called vermin. They are the opposite of vermin - they eat nasty bugs such as cockroaches. And they do not slither or creep. And if you need a quick insurance quote, the gecko's your man.

Yes they leave their droppings around.

They usually run when they see someone/animal come after them. However, they are like turtles and carry salmonella. They could make the cat sick or worse.

Oh thank you z, I was NOT aware of that and our kitties did have some bathroom problems before we left. Salmonella. Betcha that was it.

NOW, I am gonna be spraying foam in those cracks by the door....only thing they slither in between the siding.
