Default Same thing goes for car, and people who don’t use their signal or have the wrong one

People in cars, dont use their signal and will turn right on top of you on a street by cutting the corners to make a turn.

Default Hand signals at night

I assume you never drive your cart at night because if you do I will NEVER see your hand signals.

There are no right hand turns in a roundabout only exits .

You're supposed to use a turn signal when exiting from one road to another. If you were to NOT turn right, you'd continue going around in the circle - forever. An exit off a roundabout is, technically, a right turn. You're moving counter-clockwise - which is in a leftward direction - until you exit. And then you turn right to get out of that circle. Even if you're going "straight" you're not actually going straight. By the time you get to that exit, your vehicle is still turned as though it was heading to the NEXT exit. But you're not going there, you're exiting now. And so - you put your turn signal on so people know you're about to leave the circle.

This is especially important if you're exiting from the inside lane because you have to cross over the outside lane to get to that exit.

[I think the newer carts have self-canceling. I also understand that if you pull out in front of a vehicle (because you thought they were turning) you are at fault, not the vehicle with the turn signal on that did not turn. As said above, never proceed into the intersection until the vehicle with the turn signal on has committed to the turn. Otherwise, you will be at fault for the accident. (This is true in Michigan - Maybe Florida is different)]

We have a new cart on order. Self-cancelling signals are a $300.00 option on brand new carts.

Who is this "someone in authority" who will be doling out these fines that will be paid to repair the MMPs (which is already paid for from our amenity fees)?

No idea. It won't ever happen anyway, but as this is a discussion forum, I figured I'd toss in my thoughts on the matter. Woulda coulda shoulda and all that.

Here's an idea. Don’t pull out in front of ANYONE no matter if they're using a blinker, hand signal or head nod. Number one why the hurry and number two if you do so and your wrong you are always at fault and someone can get hurt. Why risk it?

Hand signals (if you know them) are fine but stop using those useless "blinkers."

About 3/4 of the people using hand signals are not using the correctly
