I learned to cut and color my own hair at a cost of $10 per month and continually get compliments about my hair. Found a lot of tips on you-tube that were helpful.

In the olden days women set their own hair. My grandmother had beautiful, almost waist length, white hair which she arranged in various styles. These days a short cut is preferred by many seniors. For that you need another person, preferably someone skilled, to shape your hair. If you wear your hair in a length you can upkeep yourself and you just tweak your natural hair color a bit, you never need to see a salon. It is sort of like nails. I like to let my nails breathe. Very rarely do I put something on them. They are manicured and nurtured with warm oil … but no salon. Invariably, at the salon they either filed down my nails too much, or gave me nail fungus, or promised a shellac that would last two weeks which peeled in 3 days. I find very long nails, like talons, intimidating, but some people seem to like them. If I want to be pampered I go to a spa and have various massages. I find the Princess Fairmont in Scottsdale very refreshing.

iF YOU CAN GET OUT OF THE BUBBLE YOU WILL GET A BETTER RATE. ALSO NOT A VERY GOOD CUT EITHER.
There is a school in the Villages, watch the paper for their specials. You will probably have a better cut too.

I did too!!! I learned how to do both and all of my friends are doing it too!!!
160-350 is outrageous.
To clarify, a $40. cut looks just as good as a 160. Cut from the developers daughter.

In Ocala you can find a better deal--the shops in TV are more expensive.

Different styles and processes require different costs. A haircut is expensive but my 2 processes (low lights and highlights) are not cheap. We each have different priorities.

Default Flowbee

I asked a woman I worked with where she got her hair cut since I liked it a lot. Floored me when she says she used a Flowbee at home. There are others as well like AirCut. Kudos to the the many unpretentious people here who prioritize having fun over a fancy haircut.

I'm sure that makes him happy. How about you; do you get compliments as well?

Waste of money? Are you sure you are a Jersey Girl? No price is too high for a Jersey Girls hair. Next you will say you do not get the smokey eye.

If a fancy hair cut makes a lady feel good, why insult her? I thank the ladies who spend time and effort on their appearance.
