Sounds cold in RI. It's 40 here today in Canada, but we don't care cuz we're leaving for The Villages sunshine on Friday! Actually, temperatures here are going up to 57 on the weekend which is unseasonably warm for Ontario.

I owner a snowblower from 1983 until I moved to TV in 2006 and never sheared a pin...Nothing runs like a Deer. When I first moved down from Minneapolis a day like this would have been in shorts and sandals. However after 6 years anything below 50 degrees means I hibernate

How will we get our vehicles started in this bitter cold season. Can a SEARS DIEHARD BATTERY WITH 725 COLD CRANKING AMPS TURN OVER THE ENGINE WHEN THE crank case Oil GETS THICK?

Must we get engine block heaters to thaw the oil?

Do the snow plows come at regular intervals to help the shut ins?

It's fairly warm at 34 degrees now in Vermont........and just "spitting snow".
No accumulation. Will go down to 22 degrees overnight. 50's & 60's by weekend.

Snow blower, calcium chloride, electric shovels, etc. all ready and waiting.
Plus cleated strap on thingies for shoes and cleated "boots" for walking on icy hilly driveway to go down and get the mail at the road..........it's the ice under the freshly fallen snow that can make one slip and fall........

Apparently Connecticut, Massachusetts and New Jersey are getting more snow than Vermont......it's been an unusual pattern for a few years now..........

Only once this season has it gotten cold enough for them to "make snow" at the ski mountains.......... but might be doing it now as well.

The first thing I sold before we came to TV was my blower....figured it might be a tough sale once we got to TV

Damnit, I just put snow tires on my golf cart this morning and now they won't let me on the golf courses........

Actually the tires had nothing to do with it , I've been taking to many divots lately..........

I could swear I saw a gator eating a penguin in the pond this morning but it might have been a small dog in a tuxedo.

From another female point of view, I am loving this cool dry break, my hair isn't frizzing and stays looking great all day. No ponytail, I get to where it down. YES!!!!! Plus, the little bit of make-up I wear is staying on and not sliding off my face. YES!!!!!!! Damn I look good in the winter. Giggle.............

Saw some frost on the rooftops this morning - hope you are tending to your sensitive plants. Even if you just throw a sheet over them should be enough right now.
