Yes. The response to a question that I sent to District Property Management was:

I am being told by our area supervisor that the Hawkes Bay fountain is in need of repair at this time. He also reminded me the reason they are there are for the dissipation of water during high water occurrences and not for aesthetics purposes.

I was using the term incorrectly. I thought it meant douche.

The original post concerned the Saddlebrook water spout - does anyone know why that one has been off for nearly two years?

It was operating continually for the first two years I lived here, so it is not a seasonal or migratory issue.

And I doubt that they would send up a 50' jet of water just to dissipate it. It was clearly designed to attract attention.

Anyway, I don't really care what the reason is - I just want it back as it was spectacular.

Your wonder why and your doubts as to why it is there, and your opinion that its not a "seasonal or migratory issue", can be solved by calling yourself if you doubt what they told me.
And if you don't really care why all the criticism?

This seems like the answer here.

Now that's settled.

Arctic Fox asked why Saddlebrook fountain had been out of commission for so long, and was it just another cut back, and you said he was assuming the worst.

Arctic asked if you knew the answer, and you responded that you did, and proceeded to explain why a different fountain was not working; with that explanation being provided by District Property Management.

Of course if it is just another cutback then District Property Management would blame it on things outside of their control, and would tell me the same thing if I called them.

But just look again at what they told you, and it makes no logical sense, as I pointed out in my response. How can it be seasonal or migratory if it has been turned off for over a year?

Over the course of a year there are four seasons and two migrations - north and south. To suggest that either explanation could justify eighteen to twenty four months of no Saddlebrook fountain is ridiculous. As is the notion that they would shoot water fifty feet into the air to control water levels.

I did not say anything about migratory...........where did that come from?
