I consider snowbirds to be three month renters during the up north cold months. Not to be confused with seasonal residents who are here most of the year and head north during our hottest months.

I completely agree. The vision of TV has changed over the years.

Where some people seem mistaken is that snowbird owners are full-time Villagers who choose to go somewhere else for part of the year. Therefore, TV is unnaturally empty. Since the houses in TV are built on the basis of full year round residency. This is quite pleasant for those who stay in those months. These “snowbirds” (full-time owners) seem quite gracious to me as they don’t say when they come back to the people who stayed in the summer, “You’ve had a quiet time, now it is my turn, get out of Dodge for the winter (go cruise, travel whatever, just leave”.

There will be a time of rest and healing with less destruction by those who don’t pay amenity fees or have responsibilities to keep our area nice. The damage was significant in some areas this year. We didn’t just have DOACU (dog owners against clean up) or golf carts navigating against traffic in road traffic circles, but high ticket items too. Sawgrass tapped into funds to re-landscape because of the lazy ones.

Adios, don’t let the door hit you in the rear…

Now we get our “Easter Break”

Actually i agree and i enjoy the snowbirds for the most part they are fun and have a ton of energy. Its great to have some new people people around .
Compared to maybe the original negative poster who blames every problem on the snowbirds ...the Villages are a great place to live but lets not start the Holier then thou attitude against the snowbirds ..

Since you just jumped in the pool in 2022, TV was designed to handle the homes that are sold here. The only reason it seems less crowded is because many of us who live here chose not to stay year round. If we all choose to stay year round many would be as upset as the are in high season. When we came in “07” LSL was just getting its feet wet ( pun intended) what restaurants were up and running were far busier than the establishments today.

All of Florida is busy in high season, TV seems to handle better than other areas. At least we don’t have to worry about the influx of beach craziness.

Not sure what stores are not big enough for high season, many of us don’t shop brick and mortar.

Restaurants on the other hand are having difficulty keeping staff, we have enough restaurants, just not enough quality people to work there.

I have no problem with snowbirds, we used to do the same and it was always a nice break from the winter months up north. However I am sure looking forward to less traffic while it lasts as after all of the family housing being built is completed it will be bad all year long.

Not sure why wanting to spend part of the year with family and other friends makes you evil. People need to quit complaining about nonsense and find more productive use of their time.

I often wondered what happened to you.
