AND does it have water and ice in the door -- or no?

Thank you in advance!
We have a Thor, counter depth, water and ice in door, freezer on the bottom, 2 drawers. It’s very quiet, only hear the ice dropping and once in awhile you will hear the water running but not often. We love it!

We just purchased one from Lowe’s and we are very pleased with it. In my opinion it is quiet. Good luck!

A lot depends on what is under the fridge. Vibration noise can be dampened with LVP vs Ceramic Tile, wood, or even some laminates. We have a Cafe brand fridge in our kitchen and it is totally quiet.

Go online and read the tests at Consumers Reports. For appliances, their tests and ratings are the gold standard.

We just bought 2 weeks ago from Lowes (Black Friday sale) an LG bottom freezer to replace the builder GE. It is very quiet and way more room inside.

You are lucky if yours does not leak onto the floor. It’s a recurring problem with GE refrigerators.

Ours was really quiet for awhile and then not so much. I just pulled it out from the wall and cleaned out underneath. It wasn’t too bad, but it is the compressor making all this weird noises.

I can't comment on which particular units are quiet, but highly suggest you check out Youtube and watch the videos with service repair techs talking about the issues with ice/water through the door models. Simply, their takes are that such "features" work against overall refrigerator design.

Our home (purchased two years ago) came with a new refrigerator with the ice/water through the door. After one year of the unit dropping cubes on the floor every few days (ice that didn't clear the opening), we replaced it with a french door, bottom freezer/ice maker unit.

We have a new LG French door, 27 cu. ft. refrigerator that is very quiet. It has ice and water in the door and also ice storage in the freezer compartment. The only thing we hear is ice dropping on occasion. It is very roomy as the ice maker is in the door and not in the refrigerator compartment. We bought it at Best Buy where we have gotten all of our appliances.

Walking through Lowe’s, it appears your design is anything but normal. “Classic “ maybe, but in today’s world it is no longer normal! 😁

We were under the impression Americans just loved noisy appliances.
In all our twenty years overwintering in TV, never heard a quiet appliance.
Bet you have builder grade installed appliances. Usually bottom of the line

We have GE frig and dishwasher. Both quiet. The dishwasher is the quietest I've ever not heard.

Avoid Whirlpool for many reasons, the worst being their terrible customer service.
