My home, located in that area, and is only 12 years new! It's the perfect place to live unless you want to be right in the hub-bub of things or you still haven't slowed down out of the type A mode. Shhhh, it's a secret place.

How so? I didn't say mine was one of them, and the fact of the matter is they are all over The Villages. Yes, I did take exception to our homes down here being referred to as "UPSCALE ARMY BARRACKS ON POSTAGE STAMP LOTS". Not too many ways you can take that comment...it is clearly a put down. Quite frankly, I really couldn't care less what people think of where I live. Nor am I jealous of anyone else for what they have or where they live. Everyone has their own reasons for being where they are and for buying the home they have. And, yes, I believe every area has both pros and cons. Far be it from me, tho, to point at someone else's "castle" and talk down about it. That was the point I was trying to make. If I did so poorly, I apologize. I wasn't looking for a fight. I should have stuck with my original thought (wow!) and just moved on.

OK...it was the "rows and rows of upscale army barracks on postage stamp lots" that got me. Not a nice description of what many people call their home. Wish I'd worded that differently, but for the life of me, that's the best I came up with in that moment.
