Are there any restaurants open in the villages?

Was all the damage in the South? Which would make sense, given the hurricane track.

Happy to be up North ... again.
No damage here in Mallory Square. Just a ton of downs leaves and small twigs littered all over the property. I don't see any roof shingles anywhere so it looks like my old roof made it through OK.

Hope those who suffered damage can quickly have everything fixed and get back to normal.

Koyame on 441 (next to the hospital) said they plan to be open. Really good Chinese food.

Anyone know if the historic side/manufactured side had damage reported?

My house had no damage. One awning was loose and kept banging against the house with every gust all night but hubby re-secured it this morning. Carport and laundry shed intact. No Internet all day so far though. Typing on a cell phone sucks.

Took a stroll this morning through the neighborhood (north). No real damage; a lot of palm fronds, twigs and branches down however.

Interesting: the East-West streets seemed to be the ones with the most debris. The North-South streets had almost none.

Great to know things are good. Watching from NJ not knowing how things are is tough for me. Thank you so much for the info.

Our neighborhood, between LSL and SS, which was built in the late 1990’s, had almost no damage other than a lot of landscaping debris and small pieces of vinyl siding blown loose. The water line in the preserve behind our home is up to the fence line. The only other time I saw the water line get that high was after Irma in 2017. Those beautiful live oaks covered with Spanish Moss sure do make a mess during heavy winds.

Default Nice neighbors

I recently moved to St Catherine. I had a top heavy ornamental tree in front of the house blow over. A bunch of neighbors (none of whom I know) who were coming around to all the houses in the neighborhood, straightened and shorewd up the tree, and were gone before I could get out to thank them. Is the Villages America’s friendliest home town? Absolutely! Thank you all so very much.

Some damage in LaBelle shingles off some roofs but not all. Our house appears to be ok according to neighbors. We were out of the bubble for just a few days and couldn’t get back because of Milton. Overall it appears TV dodged a bullet. Lots of tornadoes that missed TV too.
