Default Bought a house with a spa that needs major repairs and a new heater

We bought a house with a spa that needs repairs such a cleaning and a new heater. I am sure it needs more than this. I know T and D was used by many in my neighborhood which is now Patriot. Any other suggestions would be appreciated. Thanks so much.

We bought a house here last year and it had one. We had no use for it and gave it away to a new friend.

They have had nothing but trouble with it.

We had one in our home in Va and had continuing problems and finally had it cut up and hauled away.

Just in the for what it's worth category, replacing the heater in most spas is about a 15 minute job. I understand that some people can't do it because it requires some squatting and bending and also some are just willing to pay for it. There are videos on Youtube as to how it is done. It's not magic . Just some tools to uncouple the heater from the flow pipes and a couple wires.

We owned a Caldera Vanto that we sold with our NJ house and I did the installation, Pad/permits/wiring/inspection, maintenance and repairs on it.

Starting out with troubles! Possibly purchase new spa & list the old one on Facebook Marketplace... someone from Ocala will buy it

When T&D sold off their pool and spa maintenance business, it was rebranded as Patriot Pools. We had such bad service from T&D in the end, that we switched to Tri County Pools and Spa. I have heard that they are no longer accepting new customers at this time, but spa repair is different from weekly maintenance.

We have a free standing spa. When I needed repair I called Tri County Pool and it was repaired with no issues and a reasonable cost. Mike was great

Again, for those in the balcony, T&D POOL BUILDERS and T&D POOL MAINTENANCE are two different companies.

Maintenance is now Patriot.

No need to do that. Once the spa is running, get some Ahhh-some hot tub cleaner, and follow the directions. It will clean everything out of the lines and leave them like new.

If the hot tub is old and has been used a lot, be prepared to see a disgusting amount of junk flushed out of the lines. Drain the hot tub, refill, then run a 2nd round of Ahhh-some through. It will end up cleaner than new. (I even used this on our new spa to get rid of any manufacturing chemicals/debris that might have been left in.)

Default Tri-County

Call Tri County Pool and Spa. They’ve been in business a long time and are familiar with spa tubs in The Villages

The only thing I could think of is take it out. Sounds like to me that the Spa sales have job security. To many things break down to quickly!
