Is line dancing the problem? I hope that this rumor is not correct!

Here ya go Mr. TwoPlane. The number for the recreation department. 352) 750-5411

Please let us know about Scooter and the banding of the line dancers.

I wonder if the original rumor had more to do with banning of motor scooters on mm paths?

I heard from several performers that they are REQUIRED to play line dancing music if they want to not.

Even if it doesn't go with their style.

I posted this rumor because the message was already online last night at the other news site. Sorry, I didnt know that I had check and then double check everything I post to this site. I did mention twice that its only a rumor at this point in time. Hopefully, someone will get to the truth and find that nothing has changed! Have a great weekend down south in that wonderful place.
P.S. As I am in Ohio, I will call the number to see whats up and then let you know.

Are not most songs suitable to line dancing? We used to go to country music places for line dancing when I went out often with the U of Denver Library Students but I have seen line dancers in the Villages dancing to just about anything. LINE DANCING LESSONS with Country Music Minute - YouTube

You know once start ruling out the unwanted by few where does it stop? What's next golfers that can't drive 50 yards? Tennis players that can't hit over the ball. Pickleball players that can't dink. Softball players that can't run? And last but not the end, dancers that can't dance.

That's a good start. Especially the people who can't drive a golf ball 50 yards. Include people who can't drive off the green until they fill out their score card; can't rake their foot prints in the bunkers, can't fix their pitch marks, and can't play ready golf. What's next; line dancing on the tee box?

I am almost certain that I was asked to sign a petition that said that golfers who use drivers off a forward tee of less than a hundred yards on the executive courses are band. That's o.k. my driver quit on me last week.

I think you mean "banned" (although a band on the golf courses would be a nice touch).

No. Band. Do your research. Read the letter on the online news. She said band. Don't let this white hair fool ya.

You know, now that you mentioned it, a band on the golf course .........no that would slow play. And they would have to wear golf shirts.

So, if this were true and we had no more DJs, just live bands performing, what is the consensus? Is this good or bad? I know I always prefer a band. I can turn on my stereo at home and listen to music all day.

There are many entertainers in the area who never get to perform on the squares while we get plenty of DJs (ugh). How about SSnakeyez on the square, or RockUs??? Much better than DJs IMHO.

Also, I'd venture to say that while most of us would and do pay to see live performances at the Sharon or Savannah Centers, not many would pay to see a DJ, so why should we pay for a DJ at the squares unless of course no other live entertainment is available?

As for line dancers...they can dance to and do dance to live music...there is no need for DJs to dance in a line!

Comments??

And your foursome would have to line dance to their next shot
