There were 8 people involved so it seems to me that if there were 8 tickets purchased then someone bought a ticket for her......if 7 tickets were purchased then she wasn't included in the lotto.

We did the same thing at one place I worked.

This is a true story of 20 people who worked at a location in my home town, Yonkers, New York. Every week one person collected a dollar from each worker for the lottery. One person decided he didn't want to continue to contribute a dollar and hid in the restroom when the money was being collected. Well sure enough, that is the week they hit the lottery for a million dollars. It wasn't enough to quit their jobs but did provide money their families needed.

The worker who didn't participate did not receive a dime.

Just Sayin..............

I posted a similar thought as I did not realize this was an older thread. Sorry.

My neighbor is one of the winners and yes the case has been settled. She is not allowed to tell me the settlement as it is confidential.

Default The gal got some$$$

Good for the person they were trying to leave out. If she can't talk, they settled and she got some money. I am sure these folks have parted ways all over money. How sad. Folks get tunnel vision and just know they are right and it has to be there way. I have seen people get in an agument at a water volley ball game over a point. Who cares it makes no difference. Just like these people came into some money and then became selfish and wouldn't help there friend. I bet some set in the front row at church on Sunday, talk about phony , if they are able to screw there friend over, I am sure they didn't give any to the Lord either! Oh well comes around and this gal got a piece of the action from her so called friends. You don't abandon ur friends like they did.

After the legal dust settles, the end result will be them paying out more to their legal team then what would have been paid to their friend. I am sure the lawyers will milk this up to the legal limits. I think it is a shame they (winners) allowed their personal greed to interferre with what was a friendship. How Shallow of them!
