We have geckos on the outside of our home in Naples Fl..They come out at night, are larger and flatter, and almost seem to change their hue based on their surroundings. The most important thing, they make a GREAT deal of noise.

The brown are Cuban Anoles (or Geckos LOL) and tend to be on the ground, the lower dwellers. The green are Carolina Anoles and tend to be a few feet off the ground on a tree or bush or wall.

Geico doubled my auto policy last month, so I switched to AAA and evicted every lizard from my property. Now that I know, do I have to invite them back?

I heard that the brown ones are native of Florida and the green are from
the Bahama Islands.

That’s really scary! I know you’re just kidding, but reminded me of a scammer who recently got my card info. Had to change my card number. Amazing how much info Google has on people, and how much they share with advertisers and other companies. (Went off topic here I know.)

a couple of years ago my wife and I were watching TV on our tablet in our screened in area, when one jumped on my leg stared at the screen and jumped off when the commercial came on. Those little things are smarter than we are.

That's because there is a Citizens Bank up north.

Correct. Green ones are native and cannot turn brown. They live mostly in trees as the brown Cuban Anoles have taken over. Females have a white stripe down their backs. They eat bugs and feed snakes and birds.
