Default Out door faucets on stucco houses?

How does one replace a leaking outdoor faucet when they are into the stucco.
The "bib" itself is encased in the stucco.

I am impressed they would do something like that and I am un impressed they would do something like that.

Maybe they have a lifetime warranty.

Has anybody had to replace one? How?

I think you just repair it or replace the guts.

Unscrew faucet counter clockwise.

Lift up house and discard.

Replace with new house.

Screw faucet on using a clockwise motion.

(Sorry couldn't resist. I just went out and looked at mine, looks like it is attached with a rectangular bracket, two screws into the side of the house. I would hope that can be removed and the leaking faucet repaired or replaced.)

I do repairs in West Palm Beach where we still live. (Villages soon we hope.) I think you will have to chip out the stucco enough to remove faucet. The houses here require it sometimes. The faucet may be threaded or may be soldered if the pipe is copper? Thje stucco would then need to be repaired. Some faucets are repairable with a new rubber washer. Not sure what kind you have. Good luck, LB

I found on a less-used tpe of faucet like a hose bib, 9 out of 10 times it's the packing or a loose packing nut (just behind the handle).
