I have to agree that I am amazed and saddened by the continuous judgement, condemnation, snitching, etc. on these boards.

For those of you who identify with Christianity, there are numerous places in the Bible that say Do not judge others. A summary of some can be found here. 37 Best Bible Verses About Judging Others - Inspiring Scripture Quotes

For other religions and spiritual practices, Love and Kindness are a cornerstone of most.

From a historical perspective, history has shown us that turning against our neighbors has never turned out well.

Maybe one suggestion would be to be wake up tomorrow and ask yourself, what can I do to be kind and helpful to someone else today?

Unfortunately, with the current state of this world, you are damned if you do and damned if you don't. There will always be Monday morning Quarterbacks to stir the pot, regardless of the policy followed.

The only guarantee is that when this is over, there will be someone (on either side) patting themselves on the back, and spouting how they were right. Until then, we are free to do what we feel is the right thing to do. Only time will tell, no sense dying from an ulcer trying to change peoples minds.
sweden's numbers are only slightly higher than ours. was reported today

It depends on the stats you look at. In my discussion with Goodlife, he was looking at the number of deaths per million in population. Those numbers are close.

I was referring to number of deaths per number infected. A totally different story.

The media has done their job by scaring the people with this overblown virus crap. I wonder what the real statistics are. I'll bet much much lower than they broadcast. I'm sure more deaths that had nothing to do with this virus were added to the death toll

One would have to suspect that some of the deaths were from the flu but non distinguishable from Covid-19....in one way or another.

Then there is the ongoing discussion of underlying condition deaths......Covid-19 or other as the real cause of death?

The two above would have some distortion VS a known specific death due to Covid-19.

Darield, it ain't gonna happen here, or any discussion board. It's the nature of the beast. Yes, there's lots of negativity, but we don't have to pay much, if any, attention to it as we find our way to the more interesting and informative posts, of which there are many.

We are flawed human beings and there are many reasons why we act the way we do. I find peace knowing we can't change anyone except ourselves.

And you most certainly CAN "fix stupid." Ron White is incorrect.

It's a deadly virus. I don't agree that it's "overblown virus crap".

And the flu is considered what?

2019-2020 U.S. Flu Season: Preliminary Burden Estimates | CDC

Deadly? 24,000 to 64,000 deaths for the 2019-2020 season?

One cannot reasonably compare Flu Season deaths with the Covid 19 deaths in a 2 month period:
Deaths
78,320 (As of: May 9, 2020 at 3:45 p.m. ET)
Covid is a MUCH deadlier virus
There is a vaccine to avoid death by the flu virus; There is no vaccine to avoid death by Covid 19.
