IMO, they didn't want a more private place, they did what they wanted. Maybe the threat of being caught added to it, maybe they're now turned on by being discussed.

Andrew Blechman really needs to update his book. I had sent him an e-mail a few years back to look at TOTV but never heard back from him. His description of the Villages seemed incredibly skewed IMHO. First I don't understand how the sheriff got involved as when ever I have been around the squares at 10:30 pm I have never seen any type of law enforcement. I think they where just watching the submarine races on Lake Sumter !!!!!!

Community Watch probably called them after hearing all the grunts and groans. They do have people patrolling the Squares to prevent break-ins and the like. Chasing off feral cats seems to be their purview. In this case... well, I am not going there.
